Also, he made the comment on his personal account.
So this is fake news.

Yet, in the OP's article, spicer defends the action:
"Press Secretary Sean Spicer defended the president's use of the @POTUS handle"
Guess y'all are using alternative facts for your rebuttals, because it looks like the administration feels like they did indeed use the account that you say he didn't use.
You know what? I think it is sweet that Trump is defending his daughter.
Bless his soul, surely he knew there would be backlash, but he did it anyway.
When it is all said and done, family is where it's at.
All well and good if DJT wasn't the POTUS and if his daughters brand name didn't use his name.
As it stands, it's all about the Trump $$.
She should try going into a business which has nothing to do with her daddy's name and fame - it would be much better for her soul and education to find out what the average American has to do to succeed.
If Rump was caught on camera having gay sex and he said it's not true, you'd believe him and call it fake news
He would say it was a woman, and that he didn't do it anyway, because, well, she is too ugly for him to be interested in, y'know, like... "just look at her. I don't think so".

I'm surprised that a world leader with so much on his plate, i.e., Radical Islamic Terrorist coming into the US and Iran's nuclear threat to the US that he has time to obsess over the shopping habits of young women. Can't someone in the White house get him to stay focused on the world.
Lady.. you are funny. It is hate , pure and simple. Hate for the Trump family because the left is not in power.
Oh, good grief, no one "hates" the "Trump family". This is about misuse of Presidential power, and crossing the line between the personal and the public office. Had Trump restricted his comment to his private site, it still would have been questionable and would have drawn criticism as inappropriate, but it would not have been widely condemned as did his posting it to the official site of the President of the United States of America.
For the record, it appears to me that the adult Trump offspring are nice and attractive young people who are hardworking and who care about one another a lot. Ivanka seems to be bright and to have a level head. She also has some really cute little kids, and she seems to be a good mom. It's nice that she wants to run her own business, since given the family's wealth, she would never need to turn a hand. I am sure her father is benefitting by her counsel - if he listens to it.
I think Melania is a very pretty lady. I feel a great deal of sympathy for young Barron, who's in a difficult position - as are all minor children of Presidents.
I wish Donald Trump well and pray for him. I hope he will be roaringly successful as President.
I do not "hate the Trump family", and I doubt if anyone posting here hates them.
But I don't like the man himself. I think he has dangerous weaknesses of character and intellect, and I think he's bad for our country. It's nice that he worries about his kids and wants to support them, but this is not the way, as should not need saying. I still dislike and distrust him - but I don't hate him.
Unnecessary. But we have also never had president that was this polarizing and invoked this level of hatred. His daughter's brand is under target because of who her father is. I stand by this statement, and in the face of the Nordstrom memo, it's hard to say otherwise.
Umm... Nordstrom wouldn't have stopped carrying her stuff if it was making them lots of money.
They were looking for a reason to ditch her.
She's not "under target" for anything. She's associated herself with his administration and asserted herself into meetings with foreign dignitaries. You cannot play in that league without running the risk of being tarred with the same brush as the people with whom you keep company.
If she was just minding her daughterly business and selling clothing, there would be no memo.

Plenty of folks would hate Trump even if the left were in power, looks like your cause and effect analyzer is out of whack.
I have never liked him. Even when he was a Democrat.
