This could turn into Trump's Watergate.
The Senate isn't going to let Flynn off the hook. Flynn set himself up for Russian blackmail as the person who had Trump's ear in all issues of national security.

A Senate fact-finding committee could bring criminal charges to Flynn, including treason as the most serious, and if it can be clearly proven that Trump knew about Flynn's illegal conversation with the Russians, and ignored it by selecting Flynn as the National Security Advisor, this would be an impeachable offense, as Trump would have colluded in breaking a law with Flynn.

It's the same offense that drove Nixon out of the Presidency. If Richard Nixon could not stop the proceedings with all his political skill and long experience, I seriously doubt Trump can.

I'm sure he spilled the beans in an effort to protect Trump. That acting AG who was fired for saying she wouldn't fight to uphold the Muslim ban apparently knew early on that Flynn had talked to the Russians and apparently told someone in the administration that Flynn was vulnerable to blackmail. If Spicer had lied about when Trump found out, it would have looked that much worse.

^^^^^Yep^^^ Trump is known to micromanage the decisions. Why else would Trump tweet the same day that Russia did the right thing. The entire thing probably was orchestrated with Trump and Bannon and Flynn. Pence is probably kept in the dark because he has ethics and would sing like a canary if investigated.

Actually in this case the crime is far worse. You have the nominal head of intelligence for the White House lying about speaking to the Russians, and worse, the Executive knowing about it, and not acting until it is in the media. You have crisis situations with people using their cell phone camera lights and making decisions in a public space. The Russians must be laughing their asses off at this point about what a clown show we are.

Because Flynn did nothing more than make the calls and have the conversations that Donald Dufus wanted him to have. This dumb administration is in full-on damage control mode with this scandal; the first of many to be certain. Probes and congressional investigations will dominate Trumps term...not sure he can survive it. Impeachment on the horizon.

This.

We can clearly see Trump recklessly exposed the USA to major risk. He was fully aware that Flynn had access to information and that Flynn may have been compromised.....

Surely exposing the USA to such dangers warrants charges of Treason!!! Trump should face charges today.

Sadly, this clown show is all too real. What will it take for the cult to finally see it?
I think they're already seeing it--just look through this thread. The only people defending Trump are the die-hards. Most of the reasonable "give him a chance" people have disappeared.

And if John Cornyn is poking his cowardly head out of his hole to call for an investigation, it must mean he realizes he doesn't have anything to lose.

Trump has been officially guilty of colluding with Putin ever since he publicly called for Russia to hack our election. That statement was a signal to Putin. Trump has been doing business with Russia since the 1980's. Listening to something very interesting now and will post a link later.
