I voted for Trump and if he and his administration force states or is going back to harsh punishment for marijuana then I openly criticize him and his administration for this.

It will be a big remorse for me that I voted for him if such is the case.

My big question for people that would be "remorseful" is if the same level of support and propoganda that was used to elect him will INSTEAD be used to enlighten the others that voted for him.

It's alright, you were tricked by Rupert Murdochs never ending Propghanda war.

We forgive you.

The other choice was no better and possibly worse. There was no way to win.

We just have to get used to our future reality.

No, we don't have to get used to it.

We can make our support for legalization loud and clear. That's what's moved the needle this far in the past 10 years, and I for one don't plan to quit now.

Don't Sessions and Trump have any real problems to deal with? Picking fights with different factions of the country simply means that they are uniting people against them. Trump is about to find out that the press is not, in fact, the enemy. He is.

But I fear that you are wrong.

1) Trump appointed a hard-line drug warrior to be AG. Now I don't believe that Trump himself cares very much about marijuana. I think that Pence is giving him his short list for cabinet appointees, and this is part of the deal Trump made to get Pence as his running mate. And Trump needed someone like Pence in order to get evangelical turnout.

2) All Trump has to do is make a very simple announcement - "My administration will continue the Holder agreement." How much effort would that be?
Nope. We're a nation of laws. You can't, like Holder did, pick and choose which ones to uphold and which ones to ignore. Don't like the laws, then change them.

I thought that Republicans were for "State's rights." Is it only when it is for something they approve of?

Right. Because the R congress is so open to the idea.

States don't have to wait on congress to change their laws. And they didn't.

No, I mean in general, not specific to this issue.

We're ****ed. Time to get used to it. The alternative will require too much discipline and sacrifice for Americans to endure.
