Good info. We need to establish the complete timeline of events.
Yes..., and may any worthy investigation be seen through as fairly and objectively as most comments in these threads are not politically driven!
One can always get an idea about the source of news when considering the pictures and stories featured along the sidelines, but amidst all the equally distracting points of focus, there was this in the "note" included in this story that I too found to be "good info."
From the three reports, from the Guardian, Heat Street, and the New York Times, it appears the FBI had concerns about a private server in Trump Tower that was connected to one or two Russian banks. Heat Street describes these concerns as centering on “possible financial and banking offenses.” I italicize the word “offenses” because it denotes crimes. Ordinarily, when crimes are suspected, there is a criminal investigation, not a national-security investigation. According to the New York Times (based on FBI sources), the FBI initially determined that the Trump Tower server did not have “any nefarious purpose.” But then, Heat Street says, “the FBI’s counter-intelligence arm, sources say, re-drew an earlier FISA court request around possible financial and banking offenses related to the server.”
Obama should call Trump's bluff and say "I'm eager and willing to assist Congress in any way as it relates to the investigation of the FBI and FISA warrants, Donald Trump and his associates and Russia." Comey, Clapper and Obama should all come before Congress and walk us through all of the evidence and the ways in which the evidence (including the warrants to obtain such evidence) was collected. Then Trump, Flynn, Page, Manafort, Sessions, Sater, etc. should all come before Congress and answer any questions.

So let's have some hearings! Call up Chaffetz, Nunes and McConnell and tell them to schedule some hearings on Russia and get to the bottom of this thing!
Let's assume Trump's ridiculous assertion is true. What would Obama's motivation be for tapping his phones? He couldn't be reelected anyway. Why does he care who wins? He has no dog in that fight. And if he acquired any damaging information about Trump, it would be tough to explain how he got it or at least justify probable cause for the wiretap. National security wasn't at stake. And I assume Trump Tower has the security of a fortress. Wouldn't the bugs be discovered? I believe Trump has such puny self esteem that he only feels good about himself when he is attacking another person and making them feel bad about themselves (or at least trying to). His behavior is proving that again and again, even when he was the star of The Apprentice. It's also typical of a narcissist.
