You should get coverage, but at a slightly higher rate. After all, you will likely cost the pool more than the average subscriber.

You benefit from health care when everyone else goes to the doctor and gets immunizations and medications to treat their conditions so that they stay healthy and don't spread communicable diseases to you.

Thus, we all need to pay for health care. Eventually we will get to universal health care. We've been working down that path for decades now, in fits and starts. A lot of people are afraid of the term 'universal', but no matter what you call it, we've been evolving that direction since the Great Depression. All the fighting about it just means the end result will cost us more money.
Some things at times can close enough to free:

Thanks to ACA and the 26 y/o rule, my daughter was able first stay on our policy, and then get sensible coverage in CA. With her pre-existing no one would touch her.

You do have a right to buy any of those things. Why would you think otherwise?

Where did you get the idea that "less [sic] people want to buy health insurance"?

Rolling back the Medicaid expansion will create millions of uninsured people who WANT health insurance but can't afford it. (We can presume they want it because they actively signed up for free Medicaid.)

Not only that, but since repealing Obamacare without tax credits - as conservatives want - takes us back to the good old days when individual health insurance (as opposed to employers' group[ plans) were purchased with after-tax dollars, creating a tax inequity.

That is because Trump (and Ryan) correctly proposed a plan which included tax credits. The tax credits equalize the tax treatment of individually purchased health insurance and the employer-paid insurance that Most Favored Workers enjoy.

"Your location" seems to fit with Trump to the tee !!!!! he only cares to privatize everything, in the continual aim to try and set the government up to be a target for privitizations, so he can match the Russian Model of Individuals and Individual Groups to take control of function current handled and operated by the government.

People lost into the Avarice Driven Lusting for Money is consume with the activities of Greed, so in such aims, nothing matters except money, so that is the only point of reference your comment can stand upon.

It's pathetic !!!!!

No way I could get coverage in the individual marketplace. I work for a corporation. That simple.
