Once again: Trump paid 4% in federal income tax. Why does that not seem to bother any of you people? Do YOU pay only 4% in federal income tax? And the rest of the taxes he paid he was forced to pay through the Alternative Minimum Tax, designed to compensate for loopholes that the rich make use of in order to avoid paying their fair share. And Trump wants to eliminate the AMT, because he doesn't think, apparently, that he should pay more than 4% in federal income tax.
When are you people going to stop your boot-licking of the wealthy? I've got news for you: Trump has nothing but contempt for you.
Do the math, it's 25%. Much more than many of his detractors pay in taxes.
No matter how often you repeat this error you've pollyparroted from the Daily Beast report (their math skills are apparently as weak as yours, it's still wrong.
Maybe you ought to take a remedial course in 4th grade math. 36.5 (some reports say 38.5 )million dollars tax for a 150 million
dollar income comes out to more like 25%.
Of course that article put out by that left rag The Daily Beast made the same error in their zeal to cast the tax story in the most negative light they could manage. But it's still wrong.
The 4% would have been the amount he paid if there was no AMT in the tax code. Trump has stated he wants to eliminate AMT. The whole point of the AMT is to counter-balance excessive tax deductions available to the wealthy that would otherwise allow them to pay little to no tax.
If the Times had misquoted him he would have sued. Moreover, the 1995 returns are pubic information as they had to be supplied to the NJ gaming commission.

The NYtimes misquoted him at CPAC just two weeks ago.
How does it feel for you to be less useful, Iguana?
It is no different than a politician who once elected starts thinking about the next election and works for big money as apposed to the average American people. Big money means big campaign contributions.
Like I said before only releasing 1 year of your tax returns this just might be the only year he payed more than 5% in taxes since 1990. We will never know since we have only seen 1 or 2 years of his tax returns
