something I can't understand about this, and hoping someone can explain to me, why Trump wants to revise ObamaCare so quickly like this, this is insane.
he hasn't even been in office, 6 months? Why not take your time and revise it right?
He is more concerned with revising it, than the content of it.
Because he hates Obama. Obamacare is Obama's main legacy. Heck, it's even nicknamed "Obamacare." I bet whenever he just thinks about it it sets his teeth on edge. He would replace Obamacare with anything, no matter how bad it is, as long as it achieves the simple goal of making Obamacare disappear. Remember, Trump's presidency has nothing to do with Americans and their well being, at least not in his mind.
Trump and the far right hate Obamacare. They simply can't be rational about it. They wouldn't' mind a straight repeal with no replacement, because they hate, hate, hate Obamacare. But moderate Republicans aren't quite so reactionary. Remember, Obamacare is Romneycare and Romneycare has not been an abject failure. Trump is betting that his constituents (who don't care what works, or not works, but hate the name Obama) will pressure their Representatives to vote for a quick repeal of Obamacare by threatening to make it permanent if they don't. Now. Right now! Don't think about it. Just do it. Now. We'll see how that goes...
thanks for taking the time to explain....
I doubt that
Trump even knows what it consists of? This is making me very angry.

well I don't buy your last comment....I voted for him, and I'm watching him like a hawk....
but this, what he is doing with national healthcare is pathetic!
He did propose the public option, there were never enough votes for that.
NO HE DID NOT!!! Not once. He specifically said he would not when he was running for president. I was hoping he was lying but it was the one time he wasn't.
They had the votes and DID NOT do this. They had the White House, 60 votes in the Senate and the House and we got crap.
bs, the dems would have needed a lot more support, you can't do it all in one go. However much i wish we could. Americans need to be moved slowly . we could go a lot faster if we just took the Murdochs citizenship away.
A handful of conservative Democrats known as Blue Dog Democrats, led by Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, made clear that if there was a public option, they would filibuster the final bill. That's why it was not in the bill. The Democrats simply didn't have the votes to pass it with a public option, and not a single Republican would have helped them get it across the line.
If so then Obama needed to call them out. Work to find a couple votes elsewhere. Snowe could have been brought on board. Instead he turned to petulance.

But you know this. You simply refuse to accept it. In your fantasyland scenario, Obama was omnipotent and should have been able to overcome insurmountable barriers. And you'll keep repeating this ad nauseam no matter what the reality was. Whatever you do, don't let the facts get in your way.
If Social Security could get done, this could get done. You are arguing we are forever stuck with crap.

What happened in 2010? It wasn't because the (D)'s did the right thing.

See, this is the fantasyland I was talking about. The Democrats could barely hold together the votes they already had, but you're saying they should have chucked a handful already in their column and then "find a couple of votes elsewhere" to make up for the ones they lost.
Where would they have found those "other" votes? Among Republicans?
Fantasyland.
