Instead of blaming the Republicans--who at least presented something, no matter how odious--how about Trump show us this great plan of his that he was talking about for the last year?
Trump never said it was HIS plan anymore than Obama said it was HIS plan. Both depended on their respective Congress Reps to come up with a plan for signature. Republican Reps fought Democrat Reps tooth and nail to keep Obama from passing ACA. Not because the country didn't need it, but because they didn't want Obama to be the one who did it. But he did... barely. And as far as anyone can see a Republican counter to ACA would put the country most of the way back to the way things were before ACA. That just won't work because people have had a taste of something better than pre-ACA America. Not perfect by any means, but 'better'. Ryan et al have made Trump look stupid because he trusted them to have a plan ready and they didn't. He is beyond angry. He will remember.

Have you checked out what those plans would cost if they didn't have govt subsidies, tax exemptions, etc.? They would be FANTASTICALLY expensive. As your employer what the COBRA cost would be, if you quit your job and wanted to take your insurance plan with you, paying for it privately out of your own pocket the entire amount that policy costs. You will be shocked.

My statement stands: Any health plan that includes "pre-existing conditions" will NEVER be affordable.

Just insurance companies? Not hospital conglomerates, pharma, medical device companies, doctors, lawyers, etc.? With almost no competition - they all work together to give us middling health care at on average twice the price per capita of all other developed countries. And all or most of those other countries cover all their citizens.

If a child is diagnosed with leukemia, should be tell his parents that, because they don't have enough money, they should kiss him goodbye?

If I person is born with a bad heart, does that mean he can never buy affordable health insurance?

When someone is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and can only survive if she undergoes invasive surgery and several weeks of chemotherapy at a cost of over $250,000 should we just say "tough luck, kiddo?"

I do agree with being "responsible" meaning that we should all eat right, exercise and not abuse access to medical care, but tell me how any of the above mentioned are "responsible" for their medical problems?

Healthcare is the individuals responsibility. You have no right to demand people pay to attend to your health.

Your right is to not have people impede your health. This is the extent of your "rights".

Very true. However, first we need to get private, for-profit insurers out of the health care industry. In theory, Obamacare works and the program was on the right track. However, when the insurance companies couldn't make a profit, they either raised their premiums or backed out of the program.

Default Trump Care Bill Pulled!

So Donny rather than taking a humiliating defeat instructed Ryan to pull this mess of a bill. Donny, but I guess you are now what you claimed others were - "all talk and no action"!
