It doesn't matter who is for what. If you think this is about immediate threats or one-off threat reduction then you are self deluded. Both sides are for us pushing through this and moving onto the next. Haven't you been paying attention for the last 17 years (or the last 2,000)?

All NATO countries are behind US, Britain and France and the attack.

I wasn’t in favor but do agree with the decision as using gas on anyone is like allowing WWII

to be forgotten. My grandparents died in Auswitz gas chambers.

Once but NEVER again!

President Trump make the right decision!

Sorry about your grandparents and Auschwitz was an act of pure evil that could have been prevented.

Hitler was a monster that invaded other countries and reduced the rights of many of his citizens in a heinous way.

Assad is a dictator that doesn't conquer other countries and by Muslim world standards offers a lot of freedom, including to religious and ethnic minorities.

Hitler was using gas to exterminate the Jews and others that he thought undesirable like political dissenters.

Assad is accused of using gas to suppress insurrection, which he might have done, but I have a hard time believing it...because he had this war 90+% won, so why provoke the US?

If Hitler and the Nazis were removed it is almost guaranteed that anything taking its place would be better.

If Assad and his group are removed it is very likely that anything taking its place would be worse.

Assad is not a saint, but I don't see how Bush-Obama funding and supplying the Syrian opposition BEFORE the Civil War, how Obama arming ISIS and Al Qaeda, and how Obama-Trump conducting strikes inside of Syria helps Syria.

Not even close to being the same thing.

The U.S. was founded on-interventionism--not being a world empire.

This country is currently $22 trillion in debt. If you want to police the world--YOU pay for it. Taxpayers are sick of it.
10 Trillion of that was Obama plus the wallstreet housing bubble scandal that had been going on for at least 20+ years, then 5 Trillion of this due to 9/11.

Freedom is not free.

The current White house needs to figure out how to do what's gotten out of hand, balance the budget.

But you cannot tax your way out of debt.

Am I for or against Trump bombing Syria? I'm not sure at this point. If we truly cared about genocide why wouldn't we intervene in Africa? The children starving, the corruption, the genocide never seem to make to our news feeds. I wonder why?

Syria's civil war is creating a hardship for our European allies. Donald Trusk, the president of the European Council " the refugee crisis threatens cohesion of the entire European Union. This challenge has the potential to cause tectonic changes in the European political landscape. These are not changes for the better."

Safeguarding the stability of Europe is of vital interest to us. What happened in Iraq and the over throw of Saddam Hussein was a wake up call. Add to the mix Russia's interest in Syria. Russia has a naval facility in Tartus that it intends to keep. Assad is very pro Russia and Putin is happy. When Saddam Hussein fell so did Gadhafi which left Moscow without key allies. Western support of the over throw of Viktor Yanukovych prompted Russia to annex Crimea. Hence Russia views Syria under the control of Assad as a key pillar of it's strategic influence in the Middle East. Here's the kicker. Russia has a grave concern about the spread of Islamic terrorism and the help of the USA is vital. Low oil prices and sanctions has plunged Russia's economy into crisis. It hasn't hurt Putin's poll numbers but a war in Syria could rally support of Putin. Sound familiar? Russia also needs Syria as a back drop to high light the arms it sells to China and India. Russia is one of the world's biggest arms dealers.

So back to the question of am I for or against the bombing of Syrian chemical plants. Do some strategic bombs coordinated with Russia to minimize damage to Russian troops and equipment in protest of the poor Syrian people help? I kind of view it as a band aid on a cut artery.

In the end approx. 34.89% of participants voted in favor of the missile strikes in Syria.

Was this the block of "deplorable" Trump fans ?.......can hardly be liberals, as you know they just hate to start wars

How did my freedoms end up all the way over in Syria?

The investigation by Mueller, a Republican, is uncovering the details of Trump’s illegitimacy. Knowing this, Trump is in diversion and perpetual scam artist mode. His task? Continue to sucker his base into thinking that he’s tough, decisive, doing something positive, and fulfilling a campaign promise to be tough on the darkies. This while giving the false impression that he and Putin are not on the same side, and that his campaign would never collude with Putin to violate the integrity of our election process and Constitution.

So it’s possible that Trump and Putin crafted this ridiculous plan, which may have included Assad using chemical weapons. The chemical weapons may even have been supplied by Putin. Chemical weapons were used because their use captures the most international attention, which is desperately needed now that Trump’s illegitimacy is close to being uncovered, along with Putin’s help in meddling with the US Elections. Once the weapons were used, Trump coordinated with Putin on how, when, where, and to what extent bomb strikes would be carried out. Trump suckered in France and England to help. They carried out “precision” strikes, hitting empty buildings and abandoned warehouses which more likely that not played absolutely no part in the production of chemical weapons. They did so with advanced warning during the early morning hours, essentially a glorified fireworks display. Over $240 million dollars were wasted in this farcical effort, while Puerto Rico and Flint, MI are screaming for help. Absolutely pathetic.

There was no reason for Assad to unleash chemical weapons since the internal conflicts within Syria are to his advantage. Trump had only a few days before the chemical attack, talked of pulling US troops out of Syria. The only way Assad would do so, especially after the international outrage over previous such attacks, is part of the scheme mentioned above. I m especially disgusted at seeing the injuries to the kids.

These are horrific times because of the flaws in our Constitution that allowed the 2016 election to put a man in the WH who is the worst thing to happen to our society since Slavery.
My portfolio disagrees. Trump hasn't done anything different the last 4-5 POTUS have done.

100% completely, totally, vehemently against. He wasn't elected for this. Foreign wars are more neocon/neoliberal globalist BS. Did we learn nothing from the giant lie about WMDs in Iraq? Did we learn nothing from every other undeclared conflict the last 50 years where we deposed one leader only to be replaced with a worse one?

That the track record has been so poor in the last 50 years is reflected in the common use of "Hitler" as the basis of comparison. No more recent reference point.
