A US judge has blocked Trumps attempt to withhold funds from sanctuary cities. The news is unfolding, but evidently the cities are "entitled" to federal funds even if they do not co-operate with ICE.
oh mannnn.... yet another "alleged" judge blocking trump. What is wrong with trump's attorneys? Or, does he just not listen to their advice so that at least something can get past the pesky "legal" issues?
I suspect it wont be a complicated decision. Its well settled law that you can't force cities and states to enforce federal laws. ESPECIALLY retroactively.
If Sessions or this administration had a brain they would tie it to new future funding. This didn't pass muster-not even remotely. And they HAD to know it going in. This is theater of the worst sort.

Agree. Isn't the R party supposed to be for smaller government and limited federal government authority over local governments?
I wonder if Trump is going to try to force all states and local governments to outlaw marijuana even though some states allow it now. He's already hinted at this. This is yet another example of R trying to force big government rules on individual states.

Now do you get why "libs" laugh at Trump he thinks being POTUS is being king, it is not. POTUS is supposed to run guide the nation act as a leader etc... Not attack millions of Americans because they will not bend to federal government.
Just as many states sued Obama when he overreached and tried to make them accept his demands...
You guys dont get it both ways. When Obama was in power the Right insisted federal gov should not be able to force states to comply , now you have the POTUS, your side wants to manage and control our local cops.
I say the hell you will. SPD will not work for federal gov, they are not paid to they are not mandated to and Sessions will have his butt handed to him in court if he even tries to withhold funds.
Frankly it is delightful to see just how foolish , useless and Arrogant Trump , sessions, Rex really are. Delightful.
as to greedy, sorry we pump money into red states day and night if not for our massive wealthy tech industries this nation would be stoney broke.
