Who knows why Comey takes one side or another? Maybe he likes the feeling of power over people.
He's caused damage to both sides--guess he enjoys that for some reason.
But Trump sure liked him when he interfered with the election even though it's illegal for an FBI director to interfere with an election. The Hatch Act had to be invoked to make him stop. Trump had to fire him when he was going to reveal Trump's Russian connections. Great timing--not obvious or anything.
If this is true, we will know soon enough. Comey didn't do investigations in a vacuum and others will be aware of Trump's "Russian connections".
I tend to think Comey was fired due to incompetence, his lack of trustworthiness, combined with your first assumption. Comey didn't charge Hillary or Susan Rice or others for misdeeds, choosing instead to hold the powerful people under his thumb to accumulate his own personal "power".
I know many here dont care for the POTUS. But, he speaks the truth, and whenever the left freaks out about something he states, it comes back to haunt them as he spoke the truth..
Comeys testimony got him fired. He knew Hillary was guilty, had the proof and failed the USA legal system and its people.. Take your blinders off people, stop being one sided.
Trump didn't write it. He isn't that smart and doesn't know how to spell.
I'll bet he at least wrote the BS part that mentions Comey "told him THREE times" he wasn't under investigation (Spoiler: Comey testified to Congress that Trump is). Melania or Barron probably Googled the rest of the content to copy/pasta and helped proofread the rest for him.
No the assistant AG made the recommendation not Sessions.
Where do you get your news? From Trump TV?
Jeff Sessions wrote a letter recommending the firing of Comey. Here's the letter dated May 9, 2017

"Based on my evaluation ... I have concluded that a fresh start is needed at the leadership of the FBI," Sessions, whose Justice Department oversees the FBI, wrote to Trump on Tuesday. "It is essential that this Department of Justice clearly reaffirm its commitment to longstanding principles that ensure the integrity and fairness of federal investigations and prosecutions."
Yup, that sure is the way to recuse yourself from an investigation!
No matter what Trump does whether he kept Comey or fired him the Democrats will turn it into some kind of conspiracy. That is all they have, the same thing over and over and over. It's expected
I would hope that anyone could see the problem in Trump firing Comey at this point in time is a rather large issue. This is May, why wasn't this done in January.
When Cox issued a subpoena to President Nixon, asking for copies of taped conversations recorded in the Oval Office and authorized by Nixon, the President initially refused to comply.
Sort of like asking Trump to reveal his income taxes.
And then Nixon ordered Archibald Cox to be FIRED.
Sort of like Trump ordering Comey to be FIRED.
Less than one week after the Saturday Night Massacre, the polls (nope, we didn't have fake news back then) showed 44% against and 43% for, 13% undecided.
Right after that, resolutions of impeachment were introduced to Congress. Then it got even messier. Oh, it's lots of fun (not) to see you country dragged down. You get to watch hearings on tv every.single.day.
Omg. CNN has a live shot of Comeys caravan and then him on the plane and then the plane on the runway and now the plane about to take off. Three Ring circus
