This makes Trump look so bad.

Trump is so used to being the boss of a private company....where everybody has to kiss his ass or he can fire them. As a private business owner, Trump was used to being surrounded by yes men who always agree with him and support him.

Trump is not used to governing, where there is a system of checks and balances in place to make sure he doesn't have too much power and can't just do whatever he wants to do. Trump felt like the FBI Director had to be loyal to the president but that is absolutely not the case.

As CEO/president of his own company for 40 years, Donald Trump is used to having complete control over everything. As POTUS, he doesn't know how to deal with not having total control and it is driving him crazy.

Anyone else notice this is the libs big catchphrase of the last two days. "He was getting too close to the truth". We need an ominous music emoji for all the drama.

So, it was nothing to do with the fact that Comey had lost everyone's faith in him? Both parties couldn't stand him, right?

He was burned because he flew to close to the sun... insert ominous music emoji.

Quit the twisted panty routine. There is a criminal in collusion with a Russian criminal in the people's house and that just fine with the orange swindler's supporters. Give me a ****ing break!

Trump changed his mind he want's to hire him back, today he likes him.

But seriously, Trump wanted a priority on the leaks rather than the Russian hacking.

Quote:
In the weeks leading up to Comey’s firing, Trump administration officials had repeatedly urged the FBI to more aggressively pursue leak investigations, according to people familiar with the discussions. Administration officials sometimes sought to push the FBI to prioritize leak probes over the Russia interference case, and at other times urged the bureau to investigate disclosures of information that was not classified or highly sensitive and therefore did not constitute crimes, these people said.
Over time, administration officials grew increasingly dissatisfied with the FBI’s actions on that front. Comey’s appearances at congressional hearings caused even more tension between the White House and FBI, as Trump administration officials were angered that the director’s statements increased, rather than diminished, public attention on the Russia probe, officials said

There is no rationale for the sudden firing, maybe you have an opinion other than "he's a liberal".

You have a lot of "facts" there Scooby.

Proof please since you say it is a fact.

Or maybe you mean it's your opinion?

As a Trump supporter this quote is troubling. I do believe Trump needs to pull himself together and stop allowing the media to get under his skin.

Yes, and I was just listening to a clip of Rush Limbaugh on Youtube where he was laughing at this "getting too close" meme! It's just ridiculous. Do they think that if they say it, people will believe it, or what? There has been not one shred of evidence of any Collusion between Trump and the Russians; and yet they think, "Well, he must have been getting too close." Never mind that Comey, until now, has also been criticized by the Democrats, especially since last October.

The "Russian connection" is all they have. They cannot come to grips with their loss in any other terms. It had to be "the Russians."

Based on your Nixonian reference, do you seriously believe that, had Clinton been elected, she would not have fired Comey? Maxine Waters recently had a bit of difficulty making that distinction. In her interview, she said that yes, Clinton would have fired him, had she been elected, and that would have been acceptable. In the next breath, she resumed her attack on Trump for doing the same thing.

Default In the Interests of Fair Play

An opinion of the Hypocrisy of the Democrats Regarding Comey:

OPINION: Media, siding with Dems, show they just can't take Trump's 'yes' for an answer | TheHill

Not that I totally agree...I wanted Comey gone..a long time ago--but some of the Dem reaction is a bit 'over the top'

The timing is still suspect....I think that Trump has made a huge mistake..perception is everything.
