Pretty much. McMasters was unwilling to out and out lie.
It's obviously impossible to know what's fully going on here - but clever wordplay could be in use here. So that they're not "lying", per se - but also not exactly addressing what the story claimed in the first place.
The source that gave the US this information DID NOT give authorization to disclose it to the Russians. Trump unilaterally decided to do this on his own to look like a big shot.
The liberals from the Obama administration are the leakers. They could pass this on and blame Trump.
It also could indirectly be Comey himself as the leaker to someone else and it was passed on.
And you know this how?
Most stories report that people leaking information are career government employees. Not "left overs".
And Comey did tell others AT THE TIME of the dinner (January) that he was asked to the White House for dinner and that Trump asked him to pledge loyalty.
Was Comey in the meeting with the Russians? The only smiling face I've seen in those pictures is Trump.
No one in the room leaked anything. Fake story. It came from the fake news rag.
