Disrespectful Trump couldn't stand still at Arlington Memorial Day service (Video)

But that's the most exercise he's gotten for months!

Ah, but... isn't trump the Commander in Chief? Sounds kinda military...

7. On the command FALL IN or on the command of execution ATTENTION of Demonstrator, ATTENTION.
8. Bring the heels together sharply on line, with the toes pointing out equally, forming an angle of 45-degrees. Rest the weight of the body evenly on the heels and balls of both feet. Keep the legs straight without locking the knees. Hold the body erect with the hips level, chest lifted and arched, and the shoulders square.
9. Keep the head erect and face straight to the front with the chin drawn in so that the alignment of the head and neck is vertical.
10. Let the arms hang straight without stiffness. Curl the fingers so that the tips of the thumbs are alongside and touching the first joint of the forefingers. Keep the thumbs straight along the seams of the trouser leg with the first joint of the fingers touching the trousers.
11. Remain silent and do not move unless otherwise directed.

but, all levity aside - what would you do if your own 5 year old behaved like that in the same situation? I mean, after all, his daughter couldn't have pulled him off the dias and whupped him, although we would have loved to have seen that happen.

US
  1. : to stand silently with the body stiff and straight, the feet together, and both arms at the sides The troops stood at attention.

IF they stand with their hand to their sides, how can they put their hand over their heart?

And, here is one that the Commander in Chief might want to study...

As much failure that has been provided, the CiC is NOT military.....

No, your reading comprehension failed!

There are specific instructions given for members of the Armed Forces and veterans and all others present. Stand at attention is specifically mentioned as the proper behavior for "all others"

Try reading and understanding.

As the daughter of a 30-year career Army Officer, I find Trump's antics to be disrespectful in the extreme. One does not hop around like a 5-year old and lip sync the National Anthem as a sign of respect. My father fought for this country in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam (two tours), and I am deeply offended by Trump's infantile display at what should be a solemn occasion.

I provided 2 examples of what 'standing at attention' means. It is up to you to realize that one of them was from an Army Handbook. Guess which one it was...

And the CiC isn't military, but heck, they all seem to have learned to salute the marines as they exit AF 1. Why, even trump does it. Face it, he acted like a 5 year old, and you are defending it.

Nobody is lecturing you.

In life not all the inappropriate behavior is written down somewhere...it just isn't appropriate at a Memorial Day SERVICE to bounce your head to the National Anthem. I would go further and say -- it isn't a happy go lucky song even at at gaming event. The bombs bursting in air -- not referencing fireworks......

Trump forgot where he was, what he was doing and you can see it.

Not to bash your losses or minimize them but that doesn't give you any more right than any of us to say that it was inappropriate.

you don't mind because it is Trump. If President Obama had done that Republicans would have been outraged.

I don't think it is appropriate even for a child to behave like that at a somber occasion and I would have given my kid the evil eye and made him stand still and respectful.

Take it up with the US Code that states about proper behavior during the playing of the anthem: all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart,
