Nothing we didn't know already but nice to hear it from him.

Quote:
he understood he "could be fired by a president for any reason or no reason at all," Comey said he was confused and concerned by the White House's shifting explanations of his firing.
The former FBI chief said he was confused because Trump had told him that he hoped he would stay on the job. Comey started a 10-year term in 2013.
Comey said that the White House "chose to defame" him and alleged that the FBI was in "disarray."
"Those were lies, plain and simple," Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Based on Trump telling everyone else to leave the room so he could express his hopes and dreams.

Per Senator Rubio: The 3 things the President asked of Comey. Be loyal to me, let the Flynn investigation go, and let the american people know the President is not under investigation.

Per Rubio: These things have been leaked to newspapers over and over but the only thing NEVER LEAKED was that the President was not personally under investigation and Republicans and Democrats have known about it for weeks.

Logic thrown in by Rubio

Yes, as Comey said, "not in those exact words." But he understood the intent of Trump's comments.

President Trump has good judgement. Comey was not loyal to Trump at all. to Loretta Lynch,to Hillary,to Obama, yes. But through Comey's own words he did NOT respect President Trump by his words and actions.

Comey's delusions are not sufficient to indicate any wrongdoing by Trump.
