Comey's honesty and integrity stands in stark contest to Trump's lying unethical BS. And all those Trump PACs out there attempting to smear Comey appear desperate, sleazy and dishonest. Sad!
At this point and watching this, perhaps Trump did the entire country a favor by firing him. Who wants an FBI director that is easily intimidated and confused.
Specifically--what did he 'admit'? You may be misinterpreting his words.
He admitted under oath today that Trump never ordered him to do what he asserted. I suspect Comey knows there are tapes, and he's now in the uncomfortable position of having to admit that Trump never said what Comey asserted in his notes and memos.
Comey got a new boss and meet/talked to him many times. Comey does not like or "feel" comfortable with Trump. Trump is different and keeps wanting to talk to him about ongoing investigation. He liked Obama because he left him alone. Obama probably used other staff to communicate with Comey. Trump went right to the source. Unheard of in Washington. You are suppose to use the "little people" to have the connections.
Comey probably was worried about his job. Not uncommon for a new boss to reassure you that your job is safe. New bosses do that all the time while watching your performance. No trust or loyalty between new boss and new employee...very common.
That's all assumption and sounds like an apology for Trump's inappropriate and unethical behavior.
I think Comey has explained quite clearly why Trump's actions were extremely inappropriate. He has explained every motive he had for documenting the meetings and why he questioned much of Trump's heavy-handed behavior. And the idea that he was worried about his job is laughable. Trump was the one who appeared to be freaking out and worried.
As time goes on, Trump seems more and more like a sleezy, unethical businessman, who should never have been elected president. He seems more Boss Tweed than Abe Lincoln. Boss Trump ...sounds about right! Hope he gets fired ...real soon!

Yeah, kind of funny that a 6' + Director of the FBI is such a little wussy that he can't question presidents motives when he speaks to him (as is his damn job) and then is too much of a little baby to even mention this proclaimed "serious" offense to his superior after it happened.
Sorry progressives, you again... came up with nothing.

Where in Comey's memo did he say Trump ordered him to do something? Again, this is all your own interpretation.
In addition, the context of situations (such as Trump ordering everyone out of a room, including the AG--why would he insist on being alone with Comey?) has inferences in and of itself. Sometimes people send messages through the tone of their voice and their actions.
Which is why its not enough to impeach. Its too open to interpretation
not sure why Dems want Trump impeached. I think the midterms will work in their favor with Trump in office tweeting dumb stuff.
wait until after the 2018 midterms when the GOP starts turning on their own
