She recused herself because she got caught having a secret meeting with Clinton on a tarmac. She did not recuse herself because she was colluding with the Clinton Campaign downplaying the seriousness of the investigation. If she was not caught on the tarmac, she would have never recused herself.

Correct, but any investigating into Flynn or others could lead to trump and there in lies the problem. My question is Why would a President of the USA be against investigations into improper ties to Russia and Putin, maybe the SP will get to the root of the matter and then we will know the actual truth.

Because it's fundamentally unjust. It's offensive to American principles of law enforcement.

Investigations start with a crime and look for a person. They don't start with a person and look for a crime.

There's no report of any crime to be investigated.

The investigation is 100% politically motivated, which is bad enough when it's directed at the opposition. But why would you expect Comey to keep his job when he's engaging in politically motivated investigations to hurt his own boss?

The investigations were into Flynn and the Russian hacking, both criminal in nature, you along with Trump want it all to end because it might lead to Trump himself. Too bad the investigations are going to continue and I would remind you that the Republicans control the Congress which is investigating the matter.

There wasn't any criminal hacking to be investigated when the media started manufacturing hysteria. Recently, a leak showed that there supposedly were some specific efforts by the Russian government to hack specific targets. But the investigation isn't a response to the intelligence; it's a response to the propaganda storm.

Trump's crime was winning an election. He beat the princess. In their minds that could never have happened without Putin's help. Yeah it doesn't make any sense, and they've spun the whole Russian fairy tale around their butthurt and anger. It's the damndest thing I've ever seen in politics.
