I wouldn't expect anything less from you two. Bipartisan is a bad word to you.

My question is what, if anything, will these liberals do to work towards the civility they claim they want?

Will they stop claiming that efforts to reform the failed ACA will result in "killing thousands of people"?

Will they stop claiming that conservatives are bigots/racists/xenophobes simply because they want illegal immigration addressed.

Will they stop making wild-eyes accusations of treason with no evidence whatsoever simply because they lost an election?

Will they stop encouraging their followers to "resist," to "take out Trump and company," and warning that there must be "blood in the streets"?

Will they stop violent protests that silence political speech they disagree with at colleges and universities?

Will they stop their angry and hateful rhetoric about racism and brutality committed on a systemic basis by police officers and other law enforcement officials?

My prediction is that we'll have a few days of relative quiet from the left, and then it will be back to the same all out war of rhetoric on conservatives and Republicans. And then, predictably, more violence will follow as the next unhinged Bernie supporter loses it and makes an assassination attempt or worse.
Well if your man in the WH would get off Twitter which only provides more ammunition, it certainly would help and would show an ounce of leadership. Furthermore, even Trump thinks that the healthcare bill passed by the House has "death panels." He's on record calling it downright "mean."

So, based on the responses from the board's liberals, it is clear that they want absolutely nothing to change. Exactly as I predicted. Oh well. One of these days it will unfortunately be a nutjob right winger killing a bunch of leftists. Hopefully it isn't the people who responded, and I do mean that.

Also, for everyone whining about why I didn't ask about what conservatives are going to do, this thread was in response to DEMOCRAT POLITICIANS claiming they want civility because in case you missed it, a Democrat just tried to assassinate a bunch of Republican congresspeople.

If you want to start a thread asking what the Republicans are going to do to discourage Democrats from killing people, be my guest. I'll be happy to participate.

No, I had been hoping this man would run for presidency since I was a freshman in highschool 02/03.

He doesn't have to reintroduce civility, we have to, his job to unify the country is road blocked by political opponents swamp donkeys and rhinos, what would you expect when you campaign on draining the swamp and threaten career politicians that their gravy train is coming to a stop?

If your logic = we/I need a leader to _____. That's forfeiture of personal responsibility and asigning blame. Weaklings and cowards do that.

I for the life of me can not understand how any sane individual would seriously willingly and consciously stand against the travel ban, voter ID and getting the government's hands out of health insurance where it doesn't belong... on top of that have officials like Pelosi and Schumer come right out and declare I will fight anything and everything Trump does.
Literally if Trump had a cure for cancer, I wouldn't be surprised Schumer to cry foul that he's stealing business from the grim reaper. Then again I know Schumer not quite personally, I did meet him years ago when he pulled the wool over my father's eyes about business and taxes and laws... that he completely lied about and did a 180 on...

And if you think Trump's going to be the last of his kind... Wait til my generation gets into positions of power... thought this election cycle was bad.... who do you think made the memes... long after the hippy baby boomers are gone. Oh man... dems are going to take a walloping if they don't return to Kennedy style politics.

That's what's wrong with this whole thing. Parties have transformed, I was no fan of Bush. But boy oh boy am I a fan of Trump! Fair warning. Don't run politics like ya did last November.... We're tired of the divisive special labels. We're Americans regardless of gender, regardless of orientation, regardless of color, regardless of religion. Start acting like it.

I personally hope he dismantles obama care. I hope he guts the EPA too or force them to go take all their fine and carbon credits money and develop and use implements to clean the air and water. I want less government. Repeal the NFA. Can shut down the F of ATF. Less taxes on business so I can hire people for a good wage not that 10 dollar an hour BS.

Ahh but less taxes on the rich means more money in their pocket and less for the little guy... so much for that theory... then see said employees be able to cheap insurance like back before obamacare...
Its actually cheaper for me to claim I have no insurance and pay out of pocket, than it is to come up with a ridiculous deductible... 50 bucks to get a piece of metal out of my eye over the weekend out of pocket, had I used my insurance... would have been 150 dollars for the specialist visit. Then I'm responsible for the first 5k worth before insurance kicks in, and that's affordable? Antibiotic eye drops. 37 dollars without insurance, it's cheaper for me to not have insurance and pay the fine than it is to have insurance and use it!!! In what world is this affordable!!??

Ok. I think people who believe that our 'problems' are the fault of a side are stupid and significantly more to blame for any of the problems that either the left or the right. With that in mind, the OPs question is unanswerable. Or rather, simply not deserving of an answer.

LOL twitter

I'm going to explain this one because I'd do the same thing as he.
It's so simple yet the MSM and leftists miss it.

Twitter. He's got everyone playing themselves. The more the MSM is reporting on it and the more people get upset, the funnier it gets day by day. The fact anyone seriously focuses on what he does with Twitter and fall for that trap...
He's got the best bait. Believe me. He will go down as the best troll ever. He provides me with belly laughs after belly laughs. Each time he fires up the twitter fingers I wait. And just as expected. Wham. Heads explode and emotions run wild. Omg it's hilarious. Please don't ignore his tweets

Back in NY my problems were the result of one side... so I packed up and moved south to a free state.

Does that make me stupid to move to a state with a very low tax burden? Where my hobbies don't make me a felon? Where I'm around like minded individuals? Minus a few snowbird/retirees?

No, moving doesn't make you stupid. Live wherever the **** want. But if you believe only one party has to answer to the many problems we currently face.... you know how I feel already.

Gee, a blue controlled state declared I should pay more in property taxes so they could this year, start paying for its residents to attend state colleges.
Said blue state declared my AR and AK pattern rifles make me a felon worse than a child molester yet wants to provide state funded injection safe spaces for opioid users to curb OD. Since they a couple years ago, neutered the police force and make them now administer narcan and not arrest anyone present at the scene...

This red state... Oh yeah. Heat and humidity sucks but the police go hunt drug dealers...
My rifles are fine
Tax burden is low
So far they're the answer to the problems I had...
Then again, I never had my hand out. Nor did I have crippling student debt. Never had an issue pertaining to health care or health insurance pre obama...

It's actually cheaper and I'll continue to do so, to claim I Don't have insurance vs having to come up with the deductible plus med Co pays...

So let me ask you all on the left. Why stand firm and defiant against the travel ban, voter ID and wall?
Because I can't figure the logic behind that at all unless you want what's going on in Europe here, and use illegals for votes... correct me if I'm wrong I'm still trying to figure that one out...

It's beyond me how someone who voted for Trump would have the gall to accuse ANYONE of incivility.
