An assault rifle is a barreled weapon that launches one or more projectiles, often driven by the action of an explosive force caused by pressure during the discharge of ammunition.
LOL...I wanted to know Shorman's definition of it since he brought it up.
What democrat supports gun ownership by Muslim terrorists (or any terrorist)? Never heard that before. But according to the gun lobby, yes, Muslim extremists can also benefit from the second amendment. After all, they oppose background checks. I personally don't want any Muslim extremist to own guns. He can visit Allah without firearms. Gun ownership should be limited to responsible and balanced adults.
How do you propose we find the nutters before they have a record? Answer: We can't. We also don't punish all gun owners for the less than 1% of gun nutters.

This definition would apply to even a pellet rifle. LOL

Me too. I'd like to hear the technical explanation as to how flash hiders control shot placement, bayonet lugs make a rifle more lethal, how any ammunition introduced to an "assault rifle" somehow becomes more destructive as the rifle , by some technological wonder, transforms it into "military grade." Gotta love these buzz terms that get tossed out.
