Is there a federal statute that states when running for public office that individual cannot have any contact with a representative of a foreign government? If there is I sure like to know the statute.

He asked Manafort and Kushner to attend the meeting which he claimed was just on adoptions, sorry but I don't buy that. Besides they claimed they did not meet with the Russians on their disclosure forms.

They can apparently be charged with campaign finance fraud for soliciting valuable information from a foreigner. We shall see if this is pursued. Mueller and his team will be investigating.

Who cares. Anyone that is in elected office and some that are running for office meet with representatives from foreign countries.
Maybe they met with the Russian attorney over private business matters that were not tied to the Presidential run and once again who cares?
Maybe they were getting tips on how to beat Hillary? maybe it was this Russian guy that came up with the chant of "Lock her UP!" That could have been the reason she lost?
Perhaps they taught Don Jr. to use some sort of mind control technology to force the Clinton camp to ignore the swing states that eventually cost her the election.
I am sure there were dozens of not hundreds of conversations between the Trump team and parties of various foreign governments, as there were by the Clinton team during the campaign. As they did with special interests and lobbyists all vying for a foot in the door to whoever became the next president.
If this is the best evidence the left has on to some grand collusion between the Trump team and the Russians then they obviously have nothing. A big nothing sandwich.
