Yes there were problems. Obamacare is not the answer. Obamacare was an answer to a question very few were asking.

you dont think that perhaps the 2700 pages of bad law, and 21,000 pages of bad regulations might have something to do with this issue? us conservatives told you this would happen back in 2009, but you liberals would not listen to us.

we told you it was a bad law, and that NOTHING obama promised would happen. people lost their health insurance plans that they liked and could afford, and had to go to much higher priced plans they did want, and could not afford, with much higher deductibles, and mandates to pay for things they didnt want.

we also told you that there was a better way, mostly keeping the damned federal government OUT OF HEALTH INSURANCE, and leave it to the states where it belongs.

but nnnooooo you had to have obama and company screw up the health insurance system for everyone. well now you have the bad law, along with the rising health insurance rates that go along with it, and only democrat fingerprints are all over this. republicans wont even touch it because they dont want to get sucked into the bullcrap over the law.

it was designed to fail, and it is doing just that.

The Obamacare law mandates their maximum profit, something like 85 to 90% of the premiums need to be spent on medical care. About 4 points of that 40% are for operating costs and whatever is left is profit.

I blame obama and the individual mandate.

But the CBO said the GOP skinny repeal bill would of only increased costs by 20%. Sounds like a great deal now

Obamacare was meant to be the first step towards single-payer. It was supposed to create single-payer for the working poor through Medicaid, but republican governors blocked the expansion. The expectation was that after we had universal coverage through the mandate, and single-payer for the working poor, universal single-payer would be an easier sell.

EDIT: it should be noted that the price increase in this article is due to insurance pulling out because of Trump threatening to stop payment. This price increase ball squarely on Trump's shoulders.

If the D's wanted single payer they should of passed single payer instead of something designed to fail.

There was zero political will for single-payer. Had it not been for Obamacare we wouldn't be talking about single payer, right now.

Something we agree on. I wonder if Daschle losing and then Kennedy getting brain cancer had something to do with that. Even then, I don't think the country would have been behind it. Thoughts are evolving that way kinda like they did with gay marriage. But it no longer seems like a hopeless prospect.

Now that's painting with a WIDE brush with not a shred of data to back it up. Yep, we need another system with huge fraud, waste and heavy restrictions along with doctors/hospitals that are refusing to take it.

Yeah, it's perrrrrrrfect alright...
