Funny, I'm spending the week in Aspen, and it doesn't seem like like there are many immigrants here.
Same with The Hamptons and Palm Beach. There are people from other countries who own vacation homes, but not many immigrants. Just a bunch of white people with no foreign accents.
Different strokes for different folks? I can't speak for all affluent immigrants, but I can't remember anyone in our circle ever bringing up Aspen or even the Hamptons. Domestically, Hawaii is where people like to spend time (especially on the west coast), and lots of trips to Europe and Asia.

Immigrants have their own varied interests. I've never heard one care or even mention Aspen or the Hamptons.
Aren't we all Americans and weren't we all immigrants?
First generation immigrants normally did not come here wealthy. It took two or three generations and full assimilation to succeed. These new ones are not fully assimilating, established populations have to adapt to them. Some might call this unsettling.

its not what you earn, its what you saved that matters.
so you are spending your kids inheritance while those immigrants are saving for their kids future. just a matter of priorities

For now. Someday you will need to speak Chinese to live in the Hamptons.
This is what happens when you work hard and focus on education versus sitting around watching Faux News all day while you wait for the coal mines and widget factories to reopen.
BTW: the Hamptons has a large Hispanic population. East Hampton Town is almost 30% Hispanic. Southampton Town and Riverhead Town are each about 20% each. I've spent an extensive amount of time on the East End, my family has a vacation home in Napeague. Trust me, the East End is more than just the "citidiots" and their big mansions. Montauk in particular was a middle class vacation destination and working class fishing village until fairly recently.
Illegal or legal immigrants? How many working adults in the household?
