I believe that it is. Nobody over the age of 12 should put ketchup on a hot dog.

It looks like the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council agrees with me, encouraging toppings like mustard, relish, and onions but discouraging ketchup.

I love ketchup and mustard on my hotdogs. Then again, I don't eat meat hotdogs (anymore)...so I'm probably pretty un-American to you (lol...)!

p.s. your username is great. Freaking laser beams!!

I hate ketchup.

The best dogs are N Newark NJ double Italian dogs featuring 2 dogs on a 1/2 pizza bread{kinda like a fluffier pita) along with peppers, onions, fired potatoes, topped with mustard and ketchup.

The two proper ways to prepare a dog:

Chili cheese dog:
A good German mustard
Onions
Chili (no beans, of course)
Grated cheddar cheese

TexMex dog:
Weiner wrapped in bacon
A little bit of Dijon mustard
Jalapeno dill relish
