If you're putting ketchup on steak, you're not cooking it right. If it's a "good" steak it doesn't need anything but a hot grill, salt, pepper, and a beer.

The Kiwis make a great hamburger, on which they put a fried egg, slice of pineapple, and a slice of red beet!

those are good, how about franks red hot or louisiana hot sauce. tennessee chow-chow, pickle relish(i prefer dill relish), ranch style beans, bacon, cream cheese. how about heinze 57 steak sauce? there are a lot of things you can put on a hot dog and leave off the ketchup.

vienna beef and nathans are good hot dogs, you can also go with hebrew national as well.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a dove of beet?

As for the pineapple, no. Just no. I do not like fruit on meat. Ever.

In a pinch, ketchup can work well with meatloaf, too.
Ketchup is outstanding baked into the top of meatloaf.

My husband cracks up that I don't like rice, pineapple, or Spam.

Worst. Hawaiian. Ever.

Only in Chicago. In New York it is perfectly cromulent.

I like to use leftover tomato basil spaghetti sauce. Baked ketchup tastes too much like bad barbecue to me.

No rice at all? I love rice, but then, I really like stir-fry, and what else would I serve it with? Mashed potatoes? Like pineapple, too, but only fresh. Hell, I'll even eat Spam. I just don't want the Spam with the pineapple, although I might consider putting it in fried rice.

At least you don't put ketchup on your hotdogs. Or maybe you do. I've forgotten.
