Doesn't anyone else wonder why under Democratic leadership the statues were not of any issue but now it has become their biggest issue aside from Russian collusion or is it just a way for their propaganda narrative of division and increase racism?

Perhaps the statues became an issue because there was a neo-Nazi rally that killed an innocent young woman and Trump's outlandish response.

Perhaps now people feel they have a voice, where they didn't before. Maybe people feel more emboldened to speak up.

It just seems every few months there is a new issue for people to be offended about. Removing statues is really the least of anyone's concern.

Right wing internet trolls (including many on this forum) have become emboldened by Trump and came out of the shadows. The publicized removal of a statue in Charlotesville created a "flash-mob" scenario for them to come out and let their racist voices be heard.

Seems Pres Trump changed the atmosphere for radical (hater) groups to speak out.

Just something new to wine and moan about. We will see lots of very weird behavior and many tantrums from the left in the next 3-7 years.
