But black people were not allowed to vote anywhere in America in 1865. Isn't that also, "systemic oppression and racial subjugation"?

Not only that, but black troops fighting for the north were paid less than their white counterparts. 7$ as compared to 10$ per month.
Black troops were used less in combat. And when they went into combat, they were commanded by white officers.

Until mid 1862, black men were not allowed to join the army. It was only when America needed bodies to throw onto the battlefield that they felt the need to include black people. Isn't that "systemic oppression and racial subjugation"?

So here comes Obama The Empty Suit who wants people to believe that the south was the hotbed of racism while the north was the land of fairness and opportunity and love for all.
It's nonsense.

The whole statue thing is actually about Democrats losing the election. Nothing more.

Actually that is not true. Obama started the whole thing when he called the Virginia Battle Flag a symbol of hate.

I had the same question with the bathroom bills, We The People are being Played, there is no other explanation and when pointed out we still follow. We are getting exactly what we deserve.

Is anyone except the right denying that racism is a thing and that oppression comes in many forms?

And how is it about losing an election that happened over a year after the statues started coming down? Is he progression of time now a liberal conspiracy too?

Erasing history stirs up feelings. Then they can point and say see the right is racist!

Hope you weren't taught that Columbus discovered America either.

Do some research on how Africa has always been, do some more on how the redskins treated each other. theres a reason why white folks actually succeeded because we learned from mistakes, theres good stuff taken from all cultures. Africa is still a genocidal ****hole ......... wonder why

That's where your reasoning leads, because if your goal is mandated preservation, why shouldn't it apply to private property as well as municipal property?
It has never applied to private property. Stop being silly.

It wasn't just that he was black and the president, it was that he was racist against whites like all the rest of the Democrats (who support discrimination against whites in affirmative action programs).

They always wait for a crisis. In this case, Dylan Roof, followed by Charlottesville.

"Never let a good crisis go to waste" -- Rahm Emmanuel, Obama's former White House chief of staff

Al Sharpton taught them that planting false flags -- and police not doing anything during riots -- is the way to get white Americans to "guilt trip" about supposed white racism and give in to the race hustlers.

In more normal situations, people would not tolerate removing historic statues.

Even now, during the crisis, 62% of Americans oppose their removal according to Quinnipiac.

But since when did our politicians ever pay attention to what the American people want?

The American people never wanted massive Third World immigration, but they got it anyway.

Yet another reason why Trump got elected.

The beauty is that Dim anger is going to remove those statues which means Dims will not be able to motivate voters to come out to support removal and Republicans will be able to motivate their voters to payback the Dims.

Removal of the Confederate Statues is really just Snowflakery emanating from the Nov 8th loss.
