No fan of McConnel, but he is anything but a RINO. He is the oppitomy of a Republican, and he is exactly what Trump ran against.

I hate Trump 100x more than McConnel, if you can imagine that, but HE is the one who is a RINO. If you understand what that accronym stands for, you would agree. Trump is not a conservative, he's not a Republican. Whether that is good or bad is a personal decision, but that much is true.

(I think if you ask any Trump Supporter, if you can still find one, they'd tell you that he does not stand for Republicans or Democrats, so he is by definition, a RINO.)

The fight that Trump is picking does have something to do with policy direction, but that's hardly unusual. Presidents and congressional leaders dicker over this all the time. What's unusual is how public this one is.

Trump and McConnell are really fighting over Trump's effort to bully congress into becoming a rubber-stamping body. It's amazing to me how many so-called conservatives are supporting him on this.

Lol at the usual suspects backpedaling & hating on McConnell now. Like we don't know that these same usual suspects, just a few short years ago, were salivating & gushing praise for McConnell when he let the world know that the GOPs goal was to make Obama a one term president. You people eat your own, it's beyond amusing.

Looks like you might be right for the job, but you better hurry, the clock is ticking.

To be fair, McConnell has the majority in Senate and can't get anything through either.

Despite many claiming that the Democratic party has been destroyed, the GOP is a mess right now. It's leadership is spending way more time fighting with each other than leading the party, which in fairness, is kind of happening with the Democrats to as the moderates and progressives butt heads, but they're doing it more privately. GOP leaders are openly hostile to each other.

As for Trump, I agree with McConnell. I'm all for having outsiders in politics, but having an outsider as your party leader is usually not a great idea. Espeically one who has essentially no talent as a diplomat.

When you Know in advance that a Bill will Not Pass there is no reason to waste peoples time, it means they need to sit down and do some compromising, something Congress refuses to do on much of anything.

Except run the Senate, you just do not like it because he is not a Yes Man, and Donald cannot do a darn thing about it.

I'll bet McConnell doesn't even ride horses while bare-chested.
