I am not defending Joe Arpaio, his methods, or anything about him. I am simply commenting on the facts when people like you get all hysterical . Joe may be a huge douchebag . But that doesn't alter any of the facts about Trumps right to pardon him, or what in particular Joe was found in contempt of court over ( arresting known illegals, and not simply racial profiling, as claimed here).

* Trumps pardon is completely within the Constitutional powers and means set forth therein.
* Arpaio was granted a pardon on a misdemeanor, not even a felony.
* Other POTUS's have pardoned far far worse crimes, and without this outrage from the left.Including Obama, who pardoned an unrepentant terrorist, drug dealers, armed robbers,and traitors. With not a whole lot of moral outrage from the left. And apparently, from reading posts here, some of those Obama pardoned have killed people after Obama pardoned them.
* Joe's contempt conviction was not about him simply racial profiling Latinos, but about him arresting known illegals who had not committed any other crime. He had permission to do so by the feds at one point, then it was withdrawn, and he continued to do so anyway. So his conviction was , ironically, about him being instructed by a fed judge to NOT enforce US laws.

They had never been charged with a crime. We are a nation of laws we do not sentence people to life in prison unless they have been charged with and convicted of a crime. The authorities had years to file charges against those detainees, if you have an issue with them being released you should target your anger at the people who failed to charge them with a crime
What really bothers me is that after 55 pages we are no closer to understanding the other side. Each side is so dug in and impervious to the reasoning's of the other side. Friends, this IS how a Civil War begins. "Bring it on", I hear some of you saying. Charlottesville was just a taste. Did any of you see the videos of civilians slugging it out in the streets? Sickening. Some of the combatants must have been female even. Fighting hand to hand against men 1.5x their size. Sickening. Disturbing. We've had Presidents that took this country right to the ragged edge of insolvency and economic ruin and they were never assassinated.
The Presidents who were happened to be the one who forced Emancipation of African Slaves and the one who appeared to give MLK the time of day. We have had controversial political movers and shakers galvanize niche sectors of American society and upset the status quo. The ones who have been assassinated are the ones who agitated in the name of 'Civil Rights' for people of color (Medgar Evers, Malcom X,). Are we again getting ready to spill blood in the streets in the name of racial intolerance? Are we really going to let Trump maneuver this country to the precipice of Civil Disintegration? Seriously?
