Question to city data forum members, why is it that a cops first reaction is to pull a gun and do cops not own a taser? The fact that people like this lunatic want military grade weaponry should certainly make many nervous but does it? We've already seen all the excuses every time a cop shoots someone, if you got pulled over by this guy would you think he's a cop and if you had a weapon on you wohdt you have pulled it?
i travel that road, i live a few miles away. it is a woodinville cop and i will be pressing for him to be fired or put behind a desk without a gun for the rest of his career.
He acted like a thug and completely unprofessionally. He endangered the public and should be fired.
furthermore i don't want someone like him out there putting my kids at risk with his gang mentality.
we all need to be using video 24/7 to teach cops how to behave. he approached gun drawn no badge and did not identify himself. if the biker had tried to fight (thinking he was being robbed) he would likely have been shot dead and blamed for the whole thing.
this is why people hate cops, too many are power tripping and bullying instead of enforcing the law. speeding? and he pulls a gun? he needs to be fired
As Sheriff Urquhart said, he doesn't like what he's seen so far, but he hasn't heard the other side of the story.
I'm always skeptical of these kinds of videos because they usually start well into the dispute, which really doesn't tell the whole story. In this video, the police officer and motorcycle driver were already into a heated argument with the officer displaying his weapon. I wonder what happened before the video started? It may have further backed up the motorcycle driver's story, but without that, there's some crucial evidence being left out.
video started BEFORE the cop approached, not after. it is very clear what happened, the cop was angry and decided to pull his gun like a real low life thug. He needs to be removed he has breached the public trust and endangered the public.

You've glommed onto an incident to make generalities which reveal your anti-cop bias. Stop it.
The guy's obviously a lunatic who shouldn't even be a cop and will, most likely, not be working in that capacity any longer.
The broader issue is the "transient" cop. That is the cop that is kicked out of one force for cause but can readily join another force because none of that information is shared.
This is actually a huge problem. Problem cops leave one town's force and join another. Background checks show nothing because the force drumming him out do not document it.
We just recently had a wrongful death caused by one such cop. The real tragedy was how police management did not won up to it.

No I'm not anti cop that would be stupid, coos are a necessary thing to have in a well running society. What I am against is an unprofessional unhinged person being a cop

Department of Ag LE has a habit of moving people around multiple times that would normally be a fire-able offense. Fish and Wildlife the same thing.

So youre making a generalization based on one video? If you followed any of the stories of bad cops you would know they rarely get fired fro things like this. Theres no most likely here.
