Yep, that's what it all boils down to. The Dems need votes to get into power and they don't care about our immigration laws, tax dollars and the education of American children.

Their allegiance is not with America and they do not have our country's best interests at heart.

Unless you're chewing on the **** sandwich Trump is peddling that 3-5 million illegal aliens voted against him in the last election?
Ignorance is a gift to some, I guess.

Fact: The color of the states you mentioned won't change one bit. Illegals and their DACAs can't vote. Never did, never will.

I am waiting for the same argument said about grandparents as soon as DACA is off the table. Shipping the elderly back where they have nobody. Sorry, it's cruel and disgusting. We are supposed to be the land of the free.

A few posts up we were forewarned that if we repeal DACA we enrage their families to vote against Republicans. Which is it?

Even if Congress makes a decision on DACA, Trump will need to approve or veto the legislation. I think this is a discussion that needs to take place with Americans giving input to their Congressmen, followed by a vote in both houses, and then Trump can make a more informed assessment himself later.

Trump has proven he can roll back Obama's executive orders and issue his own, but he's had very limited success working with Congress to get legislation passed despite his own party holding the majority. It may work to his benefit if he lets the slow, complex legislative process work its way through this issue rather than issuing a unilateral declaration that can be reversed by his eventual successor.

So you are for closing down all bilingual education in public schools because "they know nothing about and dont even know the language." Gimme five.

Why are we celebrating the president letting congress do it's job? Isn't that what's supposed to happen? This should be viewed as mundane, not some kind of victory.

Well, if Trump does get rid of DACA, I hope ICE employees immediately get to work ridding the country of all the illegal aliens and their DACA kids - especially in flooded and ravaged Houston, where I'm sure there are a LOT of them. Just imagine: dragging screaming parents and kids out of the shelters - it will be a fabulous photo-op for Trump's base.

Bi-lingual education is being replaced with ELL. ENGLISH Language Learning. If you want to be a successful, contributing American, learn the language.

Why wouldn't they identify with it? Their country of birth encompasses their native culture and language and they learned it from their parents. One doesn't lose their native culture just because they move somewhere else. Many of these so-called kids still have family members in their native countries also. Why don't you and yours get that? Kids should not benefit from their parents law breaking. Why would these DACA's want to remain here while their parents are deported? Would any of you answer that question?
