No truck drivers??? How did they move freight before the storm. ? You would think there would be a line of straight jobs if they didnt have 18 wheelers to get the supplies out.

The first and third links are to political propaganda sites, and the second one is out of date.

Find some real news.

No.
Getting pretty tired of these anti-Trump threads from a group of people whose goal it is to destroy not only Trump, but America.

I'm not sure if Trump's comments were necessary, at this time, when the residents of PR are going through so much, but the truth is the truth. I understand he feels it's important to stand up for the US, when it's doing everything possible, and spending billions to help them.

Puerto Rico has failed to maintain its infrastructure and now it is paying the consequences. Nobody could get their power back up quickly, unless they had a magic wand. We are going to do a better job than anyone else in the world could do, but it's not going to happen overnight.

The least they can do is be grateful.

She’s unrealistic. A CAT 5 storm hit the island head on and knocked out power, cell signal, and made much of the island unneccessible by vehicle. Yet she expects immediate results and unfairly attacked Trump.

Sure he didnt have to fire back, but she needs to realize that a tragedy like this takes time for things to get back to normal.

Had a stock pile of food and water in ALL THE TOWNS and villages. It was a cat 5 for Petes sake.
They were hit 2 times, back to back. They had supplies. All reports are that supplies are dwindling. People in outlying areas are working off supplies from before Irma. Are people in Florida still using what they stocked up from before Irma?

My point, "relief workers" in San Juan aren't going out to the remote areas. They are requiring mayors to come to them. I heard an interview with the mayor of San Juan last night. She said that when she lost it was after several of the outlying mayors told her that when they asked the "relief workers" about coming to their villages, the relief workers told them that the people had to apply online. When the mayors told them that that is a problem, the "relief workers" insisted. How are people supposed to do that with no electricity, dwindling fuel supplies, that the mayors are having to dip into to go to San Juan & back to not get enough for everyone.

The left is attacking our military and our men who are first responders.

Yes, the Puerto Rican government is unquestionably inept and corrupt. They have a proven track record of being useless.

It's not surprising that the way they're handling the disaster is no different.

PR is almost destroyed how do you expect them to collaborate? Trump is doing a crap job on this one.
The local government always has to do it's part working with the feds in disasters. You can't just blame the feds for everything.

And this is not the first time the local and state government gets criticism after a hurricane (see: Katrina)
