LOL. You've got your President mean-tweeting members of HIS OWN PARTY. People whose VOTES he will need if only he knew how to pass a bill.
You've got his ex-Chief Strategist traveling across the country giving speeches about how all Republican incumbents (except Ted Cruz) need to be primaried.
IF you weren't blindfolded by Hillary hate - you would see there is quite a lot of crap going down in the R party right now.
THAT is the title of this thread and no defection will fix it.
Yes. Unlike the Democrats we have no problem criticizing members of or own party if we have to
The idea is to expose The Democratic Party as bogus and irresponsible so that they can no longer raise money.
That way they won't win political races.
And that would be nice.
Let's suppose that you are fully successful, and your vision is arrantly fulfilled. Pray tell: what will the resulting America look like? What would be your principal policy proposals? What current ills would you endeavor to solve, and how would you solve them? And what would be your metrics for success?

Perhaps, but where exactly are we going to go? To the Democrats? To the Libertarians?

You say that we’ve tried moderation, and have largely failed. Why not then try extremism, you say? Well, is it not possible, that what we’ve achieved under moderates, however insipid and flawed, may actually be better, than what might have been the alternative? We have had neither a depression nor a world-war, in over 70 years. 20 trillion in debt, or 200… I say, that no depression and no war, is quite a resounding success! But even if you disagree – are we really so hopelessly far-gone, that we ought to gamble on an extremist?

Hilarious! Trump's been "investigated" for almost a year, and every day we're learning more about who was really wheeling and dealing with the Russians, with Obama's blessing.
Put away those MSNBC flash cards. The one colluding with Russia was Shrillery Clinton--and enriching herself in the process.
Liberal clowns are so amusing!
That's got me also: that Hillary's people are trying to take down Trump and, a LOT of "inconvenient truths' are coming about against her.
Hillary's statement was also true - the Republican party is imploding. Half of it wants to be the Bannon party and the moderates are all going home.
I can't even believe I'm using the word 'moderate' when it comes to Jeff Flake. He was the tea party before there was a tea party.
Hilarious! Hillary has been investigated for the past 5 years and what did you get? A big, fat goose egg.
It's like Lucy holding the football and the Cons keep trying to kick it.
You're right: it IS funny about Hillary being investigated; which def helped her to GIVE the election to Trump. She def laid a goose egg in 2016 since this election was hers to lose.
Sorry, hon, but your political intuition isn't very good!
Irony at it's finest.
The Republican party has more seats. That's about the only difference between the two party. Both are divided among their leadership and struggling to appeal to their base. The idea that the Republican party is in anything but bad shape is simply delusional, and if you're a Republican, any argument to the contrary should bother you.
I know I, as someone who leans Democrat, find the infighting within the Democratic party to be troubling. I think there's room for centrists and progressives, but I think they need to get along better and listen to their base. End the false outrage over little thing, and starting playing to their roots; help the working class get ahead. When people say the Democratic party is in shape, it bothers me, as it opens up a license to avoid self critique and continue to let the Democratic party be in such bad shape.
So either you don't give a **** about the Republican party, or you've convinced yourself to believe in some lie about a strong Republican party. If you sincerely cannot see the hatred Paul Ryan feels to Donald Trump, then I simply cannot help you.
