READ the bill for yourself...please. Why do people like you vote if you don't even know what you are voting for. You need to educate yourself with how this bill will affect you. I can't tell you because I don't know your circumstances. But it is not good for the middle class. Look it up for yourself....please again. I am not here to educate you. It's up to you to do that for yourself.

You have no right to complain when the widget maker makes a profit from it. There's far too many people taking advantage of the welfare system. Fix that first to help those truly in need before you tax the rich. And if you're truly concerned then donate to a charity, give more money to the IRS on your own or simply find that specific person and give them the money.
Spot on!

As I've already posted: What I'm saying is tax the US middle class the same as the European middle class is taxed: Put them in the highest marginal income tax rate bracket and charge them a 20%-25% National VAT tax on top of that.

Oh I LOVE posting here anonymously. Not a clue as to who I am or what I do and you make SUCH assumptions and they are almost always incorrect.

Are you a member of the working class? What makes you so submissive? Anyone who doesnt run a highly successful business should meekly accept being treated as scum and inferior? Luck, genes, wealth and random events all plays a part in a person's life. This idea that the people you submissively worship did not ride their luck is just silly.

The root cause is the Just World Hypothesis, which basically says that “good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people.”

People who are fortunate generally believe in the Just World Hypothesis because it feels good to believe it. It means that they are fortunate because of their hard work and superior character, while others are less fortunate because of their laziness or poor character.

You are proving my point as you refuse to admit that you want total destruction of the trade union movement, which will ensure extreme inequality that you love. You simply want a Mexican style tax system of a flat and low income tax and a high VAT tax. Not a much higher tax rate for the rich, no unions. Even if you want to eliminate the state and local sales taxes and income taxes and drastically lower local property taxes like in Europe, you are not a fan of Europe. You are a fan of Mexico.

Funny how you dont consider yourself as part of the American middle class. Very telling. Wake up. You are not a member of the ruling donor class even if you try to convince yourself that you are.

They get paid for their work. You get paid accordingly for flipping burgers or designing software. Everyone else is supposed to subsidize your life because you choose to flip burgers for a living? It's unfair that someone started a successful company like (highly successful but local) Adriana's Insurance or Amazon and they're supposed to subsidize your life because you choose to have 15 kids with a criminal? Lol get outta here.

Not everyone can be a highly successful person like yourself. You just like to have someone to look down upon. Thats why you bring up the "inner city", the "burger flippers" and the "welfare queens". The end result of treating the people you see as scum in a bad way is that we as a nation lose out on the talent of the next generation, as those 15 kids will starve, they will live out on the streets and you have to buy even more guns to protect your shack from rampant crime and theft. Whats so great about this? Just so you can worship Jeff Bezos who benefited from tax funded research that provided us with computers and the internet to make Amazon?

The point they both made is that there were some people motivated by actual desire to help the working class, but when you actually examine many people's motivations, they're driven by a desire to punish the bourgeoisie, or upper classes. It's not even that they don't care about helping people, but that the higher motivation is envy and tearing down the rich/upper class, and that envy is deliberately whipped up by people with an agenda.

The most dangerous part is that this focus on class warfare, used by Russia and China in the past, is alive and well. I think people should be aware of how those people were manipulated by pitting different groups against each other, playing on their envy, etc. because you're seeing it today with the talk of privilege, racism, sexism, etc.

Same story, just rebranded and sold in different packaging. It's a great speech, and worth watching even if it's little chunks at a time.
