No, but if it was stealing, then the IRS would be arrested for larceny, and that doesn't happen, therefore not theft

It wasn't overtaxation, it was taxation without representation, since we were colonies of the UK.

Legalized theft is still theft.

Because they make the rules, and you believe them. Doesn't change what it is, which is taking something without the rightful owners permission.

We need to stop stealing from the rich and get back to voluntary, charity based welfare.

There are millions starving world wide, but we over tax so the "poor" can stock up on soda.
Exactly. There’s a whole class of people that are idle by choice and then spend their free time causing problems, which then causes the police to get involve, which inevitably get into situations where someone gets hurt or killed, and then the Left screams police brutality. It all started with the Left and they don’t even realize the societal problems that come from them.

But what if some of us don't want to leave each other alone? Aren't you then forcing your views on others?

No one owns money, it belongs to the government, we "borrow" it.

And do you think our government and infrastructure pay for themselves? Money has to come from somewhere, and the vast majority are not cool with tolls and user fees, which are regressive.

Most likely they are taking advantage of social programs and have help from friends, family and the community. Every truly successful person I've known or listened to has never said they did it on their own.

And you think that the colonists would be fine with the high taxes as long as they had representation?

Ridiculous. Your attitude works in the Congo. No taxes, no regulations, extreme poverty, diseases, terrible infrastructure, pure freedom.

Why do you keep carrying the water for the oligarchy that laugh in your face?
