^^^ this. In a nutshell.

Who is celebrating it? Nobody.
The thread is just pointing out another of Trumps promises that was never going to be fruitful.

OK, have it your way, tell us how much you'd enjoy having an old fashioned dirty coal plant a few miles upwind from your house.

I thought what happened last week was kind of funny:

Quote:
The Trump team was heckled and interrupted by a protest song at the UN’s climate change summit in Bonn on Monday after using its only official appearance to say fossil fuels were vital to reducing poverty around the world and to saving jobs in the US.
Quote:
“Promoting coal at a climate summit is like promoting tobacco at a cancer summit,†said Michael Bloomberg, the former New York mayor and a UN special envoy for cities and climate change.

Exactly. It's not about celebrating.

It's about pointing out objective reality and how it is different from the empty promises and lies.

People need to make reality-based decisions. Acknowledge where jobs and growth are headed and get on board. If they did, southern WV and eastern KY might have jobs instead of disability fraud and opiate addicts.

Coal IS inefficient when you have to keep cycling a plant against the wind. This was a business decision due too highly increased maintenance cost from ramping a base load unit up and down all the time. This is a external cost of wind that groups are not allowed to recover....Machts Nicht to me but people should not complain about the raising cost of electricity in this country Best thing the Gov could do would be to stop the subsidy to any and all electrical production.

Can you try to be a little more genuinely outraged? I'm not amused yet.

Exactly. But they know that, they're just trying to be cute and clever with their gotcha moments. Not gonna work, because the ultimate gotcha is gonna be on Trump and his duped followers
