According to this article China and Russia are winning the race to advanced robotics and AI.

They are setting the table for their futures while we have our heads buried in issues of 150+ years ago.

We are busy dumbing down our population so the lowest denominator doesn't look so bad while they are encouraging their best and brightest to perfect the technology that will be our downfall.

We have a 20T debt and a growing worthless segment of our population with no morals or work ethic.

But we have lots of diversity. Hurray.

This seems to imply that Russians and Chinese are more moral and have more work ethic than Americans

If so, how have you come to that conclusion?

Not sure about the Russians, pretty much true of the Chinese. Americans are pretty lazy. I wouldn't make it long before joining the jumpers if you stuck me in the average Chinese factory.

IMO, we will never progress much further than where we are right now, the US is too concerned about all the potential mis-uses or abuses when it comes to new technology like this, in short, if its a little too good or beneficial to the people and possibly destructive to industries or Govt authority in anyway, shape or form, it is kept classified.

Invention Secrecy Act of 1951 needs to go immediately.

The American corporate elite sold the American worker down the river by relocating jobs overseas. Trump and the GOP rewards this anti American behavior with massive tax cuts.

Hmmm. I often wonder how the nation would react to a real situation of a declared war against an aggressive enemy like Japan was in WW2. If we were to have our nose bloodied by an attack comparable to Pearl Harbor could we do today what people did back then? No, 9/11 doesn't count because we weren't facing a threat of invasion afterwards like we were in 1941.

Our Pacific fleet was in tatters, and Japan was on the offensive. We still had our carriers, but they took a big hit at Coral Sea. The Lexington went down and Yorktown was very badly damaged leaving us ust two flat tops with the Japanese moving four carriers and a capital battle fleet on Midway.

Yorktown put into Pearl so full of holes it's a wonder she was still afloat. Testament to the grit of her crew The damage assessment for her was grim. A minimum of six months in dry dock with and engagement at Midway mere days away. The crews at Pearl, knowing full well how bad the threat heading their way was, jumped in and had her battle ready and under way in a shade over 48 hours.

She was lost at Midway but her planes delivered the death blow to the Japanese fleet counting coup on two of the four Japanese carriers. Without her aircraft we would have lost at Midway. Getting her back in the fight the way the crews did was a testament to American unity and determination.

Could something like that happen today? Would the workforce knuckle up and get the job done the way those crews did in 1941? Or would workers be insistent on working their regular shifts, taking all their scheduled breaks and meal times and such? do wonder if that "can do" mindset still exists at the level it used to.

The Chinese and Russians aren't spending the most amount of money educating who will be the least productive citizens. I'm not suggesting special needs students get kicked to the curb but when you are spending $100K on someone who may never hold a job and only $10K on someone with an IQ of 140 there is something wrong with that.

lmao...Who was POTUS when NAFTA went into effect? Who was POTUS when the Pacific trade agreement was being built? THOSE things are why everything was relocated in the name of Globalism. BOTH parties are full of Globalist Progressives who don't even blink as they sell out the American citizen. Just look at the coddling the Left does with illegals. That's also selling out citizens when illegals get better treatment from Democrats than citizens do. So here we have Trump who wants to try and incentivize to bring money and jobs back here and you hate him for it. You just can't be taken seriously at all.
