I'm saying its up to the international community. Its not just up to Israel. The international community has a say in it.
You really know nothing about the whole Middle East conflict do you?
Israel is an independent country almost 70 years. Who the hell is the international community to dictate us our capital? Jerusalem was our capital when most of this international community sat on trees.
Who's a moron? Trump? Because of some NY Times article you're posting? I think I'll skip the article and enjoy more derangement coming from left-wing lunatics.

Yes, from what I could find a number of countries have consulates in Jerusalem while their embassies are in Tel Aviv. IMO Israel should be the determining voice of where the embassies are located.
Israeli media is reporting that several countries have advised Israel's foreign ministry that they, too, intend to move their embassies to Jerusalem in light of today's announcement by President Trump.
A great speech by Trump. The only "dog and pony show" is the one by the UN that refuses to let a sovereign country establish its own capital. Like Trump said, the US has put this move off for 20 years hoping it will help peace, it hasn't. Time to get on with it.
Doesn't Israel get a say where embassies are located?
They can allow us to put an embassy somewhere, but they can’t order us where to put our embassy.
Somalia could say we need to put an embassy in the middle of a mine field, but we don’t have to do so.
We can request to put our embassy in a mine field, and they can say yes or no, but neither of us can dictate where an embassy is located.
Is there a specific reason why our consulate in Jerusalem can’t become our embassy and our embassy in Tel Aviv becom a consulate; other than Israel saying no?
Israel gets to say where its capital is, not foreign countries that have nothing to do with Israel. End of story.
The US is one of those foreign countries also, we should have let well alone and let them figure it out. What effect this have on our daily lives, why was this so important, will your personal daily life will be better now.

It is figured out, and it has been for a long time. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

The move was more of a symbolic one than a practical one.
