Let me guess... In your world, "statesman" = shilling for the draft dodger without question. Amirite?

The guy was a champion of the military industrial complex.

Yes, you should be. It is pathetic and disgusting. He was right to oppose the shame of a healthcare bill.cons tried to ram through. And Trump was the real shameful one when he, as a draft dodger, questioned McCain's bravery and integrity as a combat veteran. And cons like you say by and watched that disgraceful smear without a word.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is reportedly returning to Arizona and will miss the final vote on his party’s tax bill this week.

McCain, who has been hospitalized at Walter Reed Medical Center suffering from the side effects of his treatment for brain cancer, left Washington, D.C., on Sunday to return home for the holidays, CBS News reported Sunday.

There have multiple reports that he's not doing well. All the best to him and his family.
Prayers ...

Statesman meaning he had the opportunity to oppose the Trump Tax Scam and stand with the Middle Class, and threw it away.

Unlike Donald Trump, John McCain risked his very life to defend the nation he held dear. He followed in the shoes of both a father and grandfather who served as admirals in the United States Navy. McCain spent years in a North Vietnamese prison, sometimes suffering torture, as the enemy sought to extract information from him. When he was released from the prison, he needed crutches to walk. In the United States Congress, he pursued a course as a moderate as many veterans have. He came to see the United States Senate as an institution that was one of the bulwarks of stability in America. One window into his soul is that he adopted a child from a third world country. When he campaigned against Barack Obama in 2008, he generally took the high road. When he lost, he courteously conceded the race.

He has qualities Donald Trump will never have. He has class and grace. He has patience. He has stability.

When historians write the story of John McCain it will be a positive story about a man who gave much to the country he loved.

When they write the story of Donald Trump it will be the story of a classless buffoon who lead America to a mean and dark place.

Fortunately, we don't need his vote.

Pretty sure they are talking about posts like this.

But I remember, Trump and his ilk like people that weren't captured.

Donald Trump isn’t worthy to spit shine John McCain’s shoes.
