Oh no? That's news to Obama. I guess you forgot that with great fanfare he cut the payroll tax a few years ago. And then there are sales tax "holidays." I guess all those Democrat mayors are wrong too.

Neither Bill Clinton nor George Bush caused a GLOBAL recession.

There have been 4 global recessions since WWII. It's part of economic cycles...boom and bust.
You have global recessions and national recessions.

There is no need we have to. GO back even earlier. The Tech Bubble. It was a bubble backed with nothing. A Fed doing it's job would not allow that bubble to inflate.

Greenspan had to admit he screwed up by allowing bubbles to grow.

They might not have caused them but their economic policies sure didn't help.

Most likely they are going to go with a third party sales companies. It's a trend in many sales forces with high turnover and low payoff per sale. For instance, if you get a call to subscribe to your local paper, that call is probably coming from a call center 5 states away that is pitching paper subscriptions for 20 different papers.

The companies making announcements about bonuses and hiring were obviously saying it to promote the bill, which turned out to be very unpopular among regular middle class people.

Chances are, these layoffs have been in the works for years now. Companies don't just up and let go a large portion of their staff. It is a long, thought out process and probably had nothing to do with the tax bill.

“With these investments, we expect to add thousands of new direct and indirect jobs,” Comcast said in a statement on Dec. 21, a week after the layoffs reportedly took place. The company also promised over 100,000 of their employees a $1,000 bonus as a result of the lower corporate tax rate. According to a Comcast spokesperson speaking with the Inquirer, the fired salespeople will now get a, “$1,000 supplemental severance payment.”
