Yes the rally crowd cheered as he mocked folks who didn't have as much as he did.

Shaking my head.

Look -- if you are a conservative you didn't like anything Obama said -- and if you are a liberal or a REAL conservative -- you don't like most if not all of what Trump says.

It is what it is.
True, but condescension is one thing, insults a little different...

Difference too, between someone like Obama vs Trump, in terms of doing either, as POTUS no less! Difference like night and day. What about Trump's insults about McCain and how he prefers soldiers who don't get caught by the enemy! I mean that is not only incredibly insulting but utterly ignorant! Give me a quote of Obama saying anything even remotely close to that level of low.

Trump took the bar that Obama set in these respects and buried it where the Sun don't shine...

Yes! Let's do hear from someone a bit more knowledgable, rational, intelligent and clearer thinking, but let's understand what we are hearing! I've heard this from Obama more than a few times because of people who simply will not accept what Obama was trying to explain, just like all who insist he apologized to Japan. Not true! Conservative propaganda that simply will not let the truth see the light of day. BS!

I was a business owner and I worked hard to start and build my business. I also had no problem whatsoever understanding what Obama was trying to explain and why. Problem is, however, trying to rationalize the likes with people like you is a waste of time, just like my time spent in this forum trying to explain the same things.

Instead of exchanging rational objective thoughts and ideas, I've got to devote ridiculous amounts of time fending off ridiculous comments about socialism, fascism, communism, and all the rest of the nonsense heavy right-wingers want to throw at all things not aligned with conservative thinking.

Condescending is the more polite approach as compared to a good many other approaches that come to mind when I encounter this sort of nonsense!
So far it would be hard to believe you see anything past your nose. The news is full of Democrats supporting socialism and all the things you claim not to see. If you are having trouble convincing people, stop lying to them as see how that goes.

Together the top ten CEO's in banking make over 100 million. Things must be pretty good in the financial world.

Dow stumbles as Trump’s trade war takes effect...OP spins other measures. Derangement syndrome indeed.

Dow loses 6 points and its Armageddon again
Hillary stumbled more after a bottle of wine.

Try down 1560 since January...and pretty much flatlining. What’s Hilary got to do with anything? You know you can still criticize Trump even if you think she would have been worse right?

Okay. With all the due respect I can muster...

So far it seems you would rather make such nebulous statements rather than focus on the specific merits of my view and comments versus yours. I addressed your Obama video, for example. You don't even express an interest in how someone can understand the same words different than you do. That's a clear indication of your mental block just for starters.

Be clear. Is that video also proof for you that Obama is a socialist as well? The ACA perhaps? What? I asked if you knew what these terms mean; capitalism, socialism, communism, and what is your response? This?

Who are all these Democrats supporting socialism? At least don't be so lazy as not to even offer names and why you make the claims you do. Even Bernie Sanders, who is perhaps your best example (I'll save you the trouble) isn't exactly a socialist by dictionary definition. Not sure you can follow, but here's a little more about that too...

Webster's dictionary defines socialism as a form of society in which government owns or controls major industries. Marxist theory says socialism is the transitional stage between capitalism and communism.

Neither one of these definitions is what Sanders is talking about.

"What am I trying to do in this campaign is to tell Americans what many of them don't know: that the benefits for working people are a lot, lot stronger in many other countries around the world," he has said.

Sanders points out that in many races for mayor and Congress he ran and won as an independent, not as a member of any socialist party.

And he says the kind of socialism he advocates is the Democratic socialism seen in Scandinavia and other countries in Europe. Those governments support paid sick leave, universal health care and free higher education.

What am I lying about? Go ahead! At least try to explain yourself, especially if you are going to make such accusations.

I don't have trouble "convincing people." I have trouble convincing SOME people, mostly because truth, logic and objective reason is simply not part of the equation for SOME people when exchanging political points of view.

Your point?

"Scandal-beset Wells Fargo’s CEO ranked fourth"

Those on which end of the political spectrum seem most comfortable and/or more critical of just how good it always seems to be for those making off with millions at the top of the financial world, even when unethical let alone illegal and/or borderline illegal?

The Great Recession, you may or may not know, was largely a problem brought on by what investment firms were doing to make those millions (I assume I don't need to get into those details). As a result, lots of work went into reforms after GW turned the mess over to Obama that were intended to tighten up those areas that allowed that mess to happen in the first place. What did Trump decide to do instead?

Down or up, let's try to at least better connect the dots with respect to what credit Obama and/or Trump can take for stock values. Let's be sure to think in terms of long-term trends that begin and end sometimes before and after any POTUS holds office, and what actually tends to send the markets up or down. The DJIA is not a grade card for any POTUS and not the end all tell all with respect to the health of our economy now or into the future, let alone the measure of how average Americans are doing.

Example? Think what sort of grade GW Bush would be given, as measured by the DJIA, just before the economic meltdown brought this country to it's knees.

Good point, that one can and should be able to criticize Trump as well as give credit when due, objectively speaking that is. Objectivity, however, is very hard for SOME people to manage...

Yes we know. That is what the resistance is all about.
Not recognizing anything positive the President does.

Meanwhile :

Stocks edge higher as investors focus on positive earnings
