I'm comfortable with the decision, except for emergency workers. If a doctor works in an emergency room, he or she should not have a right to refuse treating anyone.

Reason: off topic
Very easily. A doctor in performing his or her medical services could look between the legs of a transgender person and say,"Oh, oh, I don't allow people like you to be my patient. Get the hell out now!"
“Aahhhhhh!!!!!! Oh the horror! Oh the horror! I have no idea what the actual changes might be, but it’s the apocalypse! Oh the horror!!!”
LOL, Wait until a gay or transgender person discriminates against you because you're straight! It would be funny to see how straight people, who believe strongly in discrimination, would react when the tables are turned on them.

So a different doctor comes in. BFD. Why is everything the end of the world with you people? Is there a doomsday gene in Leftist's DNA?
Not sure why Trump is opening up this can of worms. Personally , I think any decent doctor or nurse regardless of their faith, or how they feel about one group would refuse to work on a patient. This is what they've signed up to do and they are professional. Now what they should be able to have the right to refuse is when some gangbanger comes in all shot up and it is like their third time or a criminal that just tried to outrun the cops and slammed a car into a mini van killing the family, etc.
From your cited article: " establishing a new division of the HHS civil rights office that would conduct compliance reviews, audits and other enforcement actions to ensure that health care providers are allowing workers to opt out of procedures when they have religious or moral objections. The new division would be a third, co-equal branch with the office’s existing two divisions that focus on federal civil rights laws and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
The office would also conduct outreach and technical support to help others who are seeking to strengthen protections for workers with religious and moral objections to certain procedures."
So, exactly what is wrong with this if I may ask. Last time I checked, we all have civil rights and we are all protected against discrimination. Discrimination is not limited to only those groups you feel should be protected. Everyone deserves protection, including those who do not want to be forced to do things they feel are morally wrong or against their religious beliefs. There is nothing here which will stop LGBT citizens from receiving the same services as everyone else. This action simply ensures that citizens who are working in the healthcare industry have a voice and a choice, instead of being forced to perform procedures which they feel are wrong or against their beliefs. These people deserve the same protection that every other group receives.
First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting thefree exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Exactly how does the First Amendment tie into your argument here Bawac? Because I just don't see where it applies to this. The government is not recognizing or establishing a religion, or in any way limiting any of the other rights described in the amendment above. All this move does is establish protection for a minority in this country, the Christian health care worker. Please remember, everyone in this country enjoys civil rights, and everyone in this country deserves protection from persecution and protection of their religious freedom. Not just certain groups of people you feel deserve protection.
And besides, it's just an article. More than likely, this is just a big bunch of nothing.
So I voted for Trump and support most of his policy but I don't agree with this. IMO if one has moral objections to any aspect of their job duties then they should seek other career choices. One goes into the medical profession, I would assume, because they have a desire to help people. All people, not just wealthy ones, or white ones, or Christians, or natural biological gender heterosexual ones. I also assume one going into the medical field in the capacity were procedures are performed realizes they may have to assist is said procedures.
Reminds me of back in the day when I was in college and working in a bar to support myself. A young lady came in applying for a job. A couple nights in she quit because drinking alcohol was against her moral and religious convictions. So why did she apply for a job serving alcohol?
So if you have moral convictions choose another line of work. I say moral not religious convictions as I am not aware of any scripture that prevents one from giving aid to any of God's creations or performing any medical procedure. Actually for followers of Christ our actions should be just the opposite of refusing to assist those in need. If one argues homosexuality or transgenderism or abortion is merely wrong according to the word well we commit acts that are merely wrong according to the word every day.
Its Fake News because you and I know it does NOT refuse treatment in hospitals... you are taking something and intentional convoluting it to do something else... FAKE...
