I'm sorry but anything coming out of CIS or FAIRUS is generally BS, both are run by the same guy, John Tanton who spends his time pumping out racist screeds.

CNN: Asteroids could place Earth in peril during government shutdown

Two CNN correspondents led a fear-mongering report that claimed a large, undetected asteroid could place the Earth in peril if the government shutdown continues.

CNN correspondent Tom Foreman noted that during a government shutdown in 2013, NASA was unable to monitor “potentially dangerous asteroids” for more than two weeks.

Correct. Two separate polls confirmed that: CNN and Harvard CAPS/Harris.

This was a HUGE unforced error committed by the Dems which will lose them votes, and very possibly have the unintended consequence of diminishing support for DACAs.

Dems committed a colossally stupid strategic error, going right into the 2018 midterms. /SMH

Here's one of them:

"Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll.

When respondents were asked whether they "favor or oppose Democrats voting to shut the government down” if the funding measure does not restore work permits for those protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, 58 percent said they oppose a shutdown.

Views on the issue fall generally along ideological lines, with 68 percent of Democrats in favor of a shutdown aimed at extending the DACA program, while 83 percent of Republicans and 65 percent of independents would oppose a shutdown driven by an immigration fight"

Looks like this shut down is continuing because little Stephen Miller is controlling Trump. When a deal is near and Trump agrees, Stephen Miller will object and Trump relents. Trump isn't a leader he is a feckless and weak leader too stupid to know what he wants. Trump the dimwit is holding this country hostage to his addled mind.

Thumbs down Schumer and Pelosi! These top Democrats are causing people to end up with no paycheck!

Schumer and Pelosi are causing the people to be without a paycheck after Pelosi already mentioned that $1000 tax deductions are crums.

How can Schumer on the same subjects as under Obama, now give a total 180 answer on exactly the same policy and then call it non political!

Pelosi is married to a hedge fund manager, the kind she hates and attacks but loves to go home to as that is how the millions have been coming into her household!

Now Schumer and Pelosi causing thousands of people to be without a pay check.

Legal tourism to be stuck without being able to pay and visit landmarks and to support the US economy and all of this over ILLEGAL aliens!

Did Pelosi at any time offer to do anything for veterans or military personal in the last few days after bashing $1000 tax deductions!

Democrats are totally out of touch with the people!

They didn't learn anything from the 2013 shutdown, either when whiney stompyfoot Dems also tried to blame it on the GOP, and failed. The result? Sweeping GOP wins in the 2014 midterms.

False. They needed a minimum of 10 Dem votes (McCain is not present, undergoing cancer treatment). Only got 5.

Lefties are bad at math.

You don't have to have a sledge hammer hit you between the eyes to see that the Democrats care nothing for America! They can spin it anyway they want; but this is why I am embarrassed to say I once was a Democrat!

Trump's mission, which he obviously decided to accept, was to divide and weaken America.
