If Mueller is tracking the money, you would think his team would be all over this issue.
there is some possibility of overlap with the mueller investigation but the big question currently is if the funds came from cohen's private account ( which would be an illegal campaign contribution) , from campaign funds ( which would also be a FEC violation ) and if trump knew about it ( which would be a NY bar violation if he didn't ).
Even he, who is so good at keeping a poker face at whatever anyone ever says to him, couldn't suppress an involuntary reaction for a nanosecond when she described punishing naughty, naughty Donnie.
So someone threatens you/your child and you don't go to anyone? The police, the FBI, a lawyer? No one?
You are the one demanding proof for this, that and the other. Where is the "proof" that this parking lot threat occurred?
I think the proof is that she kept quiet all that time and then she even signed several documents that were not to her advantage
She totally indicated she was afraid of having her child or herself harmed...if she tried to take her story public.
She didn't have a claim it was harassment or assault as some of Trump's female accusers---
Stormy supposedly had nothing really bad to say about Trump except she didn't really want to hit that more than once...
But the GOP/Cohen/Trump handlers were really afraid of HER coming forward for whatever reason...
which she had not done on her on even that close to the election---so they went OUT OF THEIR WAY to get her to sign a non-disclosure agreement...
And supposedly part of that agreement have not been met--whether that is Trump's signature or other aspects of the agreement--I don't know specifically...
But Daniels was NOT making any motions that she was going to try to sell her story during the campaign--
And to my way of thinking, her reluctance to benefit financially was likely because she had been threatened before when she was approached to sell her story and she believed they would do her harm...
again, both the fact that they had an affair and that she was paid hush-money have been confirmed by trump's attorney, michael cohen.[/QUOTE
again... What did this ... uh ... "woman" want from the affair? She got her hush money ~ maybe it just was not enough to keep it shut ~ and she still has an agenda. If that affair was truly "behind her" ~ which obviously never has been ~ then she wanted more from it than what she got. It's revenge.
the affair had already broke to the public and died down with little consequence for trump. it was michael cohen, in an unforced error, who brought it up again claiming to be the one that paid daniels without trump's knowledge. this was the catalyst for daniels to submit the settlement agreement/NDA to the courts for a declaratory decision on it's validity.
i'm seeing this pop up on right-wing blogs. it seems like a desperate attempt to try and discredit daniels which is silly since the main point of her interview, the affair with trump, has already been confirmed by michael cohen.

...anybody else think it was sweet that Trump told the porn actress after she spanked his *** with the time magazine cover that she reminded him of Ivanka?
He was like, "Wow, you-- you are special. You remind me of my daughter." You know-- he was like, "You're smart and beautiful, and a woman to be reckoned with, and I like you. I like you."
It was all consensual sex to the New York Times, and other mainstream media outlets back when Clinton had an affair in office. Now why is it such a big deal to those same media outlets when Trump ALLEGEDLY did it when not in office?
Quote:
"Is It Only About Sex?" wrote the New York Times in August 1998.
"Maybe It Is About Sex," wrote Slate the same month.
"High crimes? Or just a sex cover-up?" Time magazine wrote the next month.
That was the tack back then, after 50-year-old Bill Clinton was accused of having sex with a 22-year-old White House intern, often in the Oval Office. Clinton vehemently denied the allegation, wagging a crooked finger as he spat: “I want you to listen to me. I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky. I never told a single person to lie, not a single time, never.”

I am sure this must have been mentioned somewhere in this long thread.
The cover-up during the last weeks of the campaign look like a campaign expenditure. That can be messier than the moral implications.
