trump is pushing for infrastructure funding which the country clearly needs. the house and senate democrats didn't applaud trump's call for infrastructure legislation last night in the sotu speech. they sat stone faced the entire speech.
the democrat politicians will not support anything proposed by republican politicians in 2018. they have made it clear by their behavior last night they hate trump more than they care about this country or the American people.
I was kind of hoping Trump would start a big infrastructure program. Instead the giant tax cuts to business and rich took away any monies.
Trump still has 3 years to enact his infrastructure plan.
Trumps plan gives wealthy developers and Wall Street investors tax credits to fix our infrastructure, and for every $1 they spend repairing our infrastructure they are given .82 cents of taxpayer money. And after the infrastructure is repaired the developers and Wall Street investors will personally own the roads and bridges they repaired, and then they will be able charge tolls for use of the roads and bridges.

I said giving blanket responsibility to the Feds over what are in many cases local responsibilities is inaccurate and dishonest.
Our military is costly. Nobody disputes that. If said costs are inhibiting us from doing what needs to be done here at home (An Endless List...) then by all means let us have that discussion.
But starting a thread and saying we cannot do <Insert Costly Need> because of our costly military is disingenuous.
Nobody- short of maybe Bernie Sanders- advocates bringing our military spending to the level of let's say Canada or Luxembourg. Nobody.
