...there’s always money for Afghanistan, operations in Iraq and Syria, aid for Israel and Egypt (and a host of other nations), stationing of troops all over the world, etc
That I can agree with, bring our military back here, and use our money to take care of us.
I'd include bringing them back from bases in places like Turkey and Germany and Cuba (close gitmo)...the only place I'd leave them at all is on the DMZ because S Korea is toast if we leave there.

The problem I have with closing Gitmo is the recidivism rate of those released.
