Now why dont you find the statistics for the amount of taxes that people who make $25,000 a year pay. Unless its more then 21.4% of their income (the amount the rich pay), you have no argument.
Sure.. show me where someone who makes $25,000 a year, pays a higher percentage (21.4% of their income) to taxes. Unless you can, its all a tax the rich bashing with no basis... Make sure the statistic you find includes things like the cash payments to the poor for having children, and all of the subsidized programs that they take advantage of..
I guess you dont think I'm serious because you think the poor pay way more taxes then the rich.. Yeah.. just what I thought, another bash the rich thread with no basis or valid statistic.
Well, I can tell you that I make less than $50,000 and pay 27% of my check to taxes. That is crazy! I don't see that SS will be there when I get old enough to use it so it doubly ticks me off!

There is the old cliche of something akin to the only thing you can count on in this life is taxes and death. Now, it seems, taxes could literally cause your 'death'.
Here is an interesting note:
"And in New York, state Senate Republicans are opposing a plan to generate $1.9 billion by closing corporate tax loopholes."
I guess it's more important for people to have jobs so "gubmint" can tax those folks....
The US is definitely being "spent to death" by Bush and his lackeys. And his wealthy pals get tax breaks while you and your kids are stuck with the bill. And ask yourself this:
"Exactly what has all of this Bush spending purchased us? Where are the improvements? Where is all of this money going?"

Maybe you need a better tax man? I made 80k this year and payed 15%................
Twenty years ago, the top 1% took home 12.7% of all the income. No data yet for 2007, but in 2005, the top 1% took home 21.8% of all the income. That's an increase of 72%. Meanwhile, in 1987 the top 1% paid an average of 24.7 cents in federal income tax on each dollar of AGI. By 2005, that had shrunk to 21.4 cents. That's a tax cut of about 14%. More and more money. Lower and lower taxes. Explain the "fairness"...
Wait.. please show me where you pulled those facts from because the other day, you stated that only 48.1% of this country was employed, when our employment rate is around 94.5%.

Now thats one thing I wont argue with, with the exception of "Bush".. Bush AND CONGRESS is spending us to death...
I believe that we are not taxed ENOUGH. WE should all pay more. After all it's it fair to have everyone just pay alittle more right? But what is alittle more, and more and more and then your working half the year just to pay your "SHARE" in taxes. While you have a family to feed, support and home to heat. I mean the government does everything right. Right? Their is no reason why we shouldnt just send them more money so the government can pander to the special interest groups and increase the welfare state. WE must make the government bigger to limit individuals freedoms and more regulation.
Listen UP YOU SOCIALIST AND COMMUNIST MOD CUT.
I question those who want GOVERNMENTS to do more for them. At the cost of your freedom and thru taxes on your labor gives power to the IRS and the FED. Which will print money and borrowing from communist China to support the government spending. This is what you want to give more money too. They already have to much money as it is which is part of the problem. Remove the income tax and lower for all Americans taxes and reduce the size of government. But these people want Our Government even Bigger with higher taxes.
AND These PEOPLE WANT the Government to manage healthcare and schools and it will all be "FREE".
The only cost of your "free programs" the American Citizen will suffer is the cost of freedom and individual liberty to be given to the elite few in washington. This sytem will have control over your livelyhood and make you a slave to bigger government.
If my government comes to tax me anymore and goes full socialist, it's time for revolution again. The one thing these people don't count on is I am an American and not some socialist european wuss who has bought into these lies. I will not bow down to another vise of tryanny. Revolt and Revolution again are at hand, just as they taxed the tea we will throw all you socialist and communist into the sea starting with ted kennedy in boston.
Live free or DIE.
Thank you
Proud American

Reason: knock it off...
In 2005, the top one percent of American families - those with an income above $340,000 - accounted for more than 19 percent of nationwide pre-tax income, according to the study. With an average federal tax rate of 33.7 percent, those families accounted for 17.1 percent of post-tax income.
Show me where you got your 21.4% statistic from because this shows 33.7% of the income on the rich goes to taxes.
