He seemed mostly concerned that the contents of his emails would be revealed. Since he admits he and his mentor were trashing people, my bet is he doesn’t want to deal with the sensationalistic press coverage when those emails are made public.
Well, he was clearly intoxicated in that one TV interview that was posted in this thread. Of course, some people tell the truth when they're drunk, while others don't.
In vino veritas. Just because he's three sheets to the wind doesn't mean he doesn't have something to say.
"This is not the first time Nunberg’s credibility has been questioned. Nunberg admitted in Politico in November that he made up a story about then-New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie fetching McDonald’s food for Trump to embarrass Christie — a claim that went viral after it was reported by the New Yorker."

Well, if he has a drinking problem, he may often send out emails when drunk. He probably would want to know what he said before he turns the emails over. That’s probably a lot of emails to read before Friday. No wonder he’s mad.
The crime will be contempt of court. He CAN be detained and imprisoned for that. And the contempt arises from refusing to show up.
He absolutely can show up and plead the fifth. But thats not the discussion either.
Why can't you just talk about the topic? What are you so afraid of here?
How can be held in contempt of court when the court didn't issue any orders to him?
Grand jury summons can be ignored. It is just a request for testimony and that is always voluntary. They can get a search warrant if they want to seize what they think he has got....which they don't even know what it is, so GOOD LUCK getting a search warrant describing the things and places to be searched if they don't even know what they ARE in the first place.
If they knew anything they would be asking the other parties in the communication chain, not him. He isn't under investigation.

No, you can't ignore a grand jury subpoena to appear. Judith Miller refused to go before a federal grand jury in the Valerie Plame affair and spent 85 days in jail.
