I honestly don't believe reparations will solve anything. It would have made sense in the period just after the abolition of slavery. But now it's too late. Simply giving people money won’t put an end to the systemic and deeply rooted racism in America. In fact, it will make it worse, as poor whites will see poor blacks getting something that they don’t get, and resent it.

And what if she wins? It’s not out of the realm of possibility. No one thought Trump could win, but the Republican voters really had no other choice. Democrats will feel the same way.

What about Texas? Just because the primaries? How many Republicans are running unopposed or the opposition is not someone the voters want? I don’t think you can count on Texas just yet, though it will probably go blue someday. I know I will vote for whatever Republican is out there just to make sure it doesn’t happen. I live in fear of the current Democrat party being in charge.

Incorrect.

Republican voters had 17 candidates running for the nomination and the GOP establishment which did not want Trump. They had plenty of choice.

Sure. In terms of the Presidential election
  • NJ = Blue
  • VA = BG
  • Ala = Red
  • TX = Red
Remember, Democrats have lost over 1200 seats across the country in the last few years. They have a long long way to go to win that back.

Reverend Al Sharpton would make a great running mate for Maxine.

Are reparations more likely to pass with a democratic controlled house or a republican controlled house? She is not saying anything crazy, she is not promising anything but to sponsor a bill.

Oh, the horrors of people being paid a pittance for generations of unpaid labor.

Right, because only black people get freebies from the government.

How many people living off of disability in rural WV are black? Probably not many.
