Most working people have long figured out that the Democrats dumped them long ago. That the Democratic party doesn't represent the working class, their interests or their values. That instead the Dems have gone full left-wing, supporting criminals and welfare queens, rather than workers. Even the unions are recognizing that Trump (if not necessarily the Republican party on a wide basis) are supporting blue collar workers far more than the left ever will.

IMO it goes further. More and more workers are actually realizing that businesses don't have an unlimited supply of money to hand out. That many business owners live modestly and risk their life's work and savings to start that business. They are starting to realize that the conflict today isn't between workers and businesses, it it workers and business against a government that is overrun with greed and a desire to take what they haven't produced. And as more and more people recognize that, the Democratic party is getting more and more desperate, more deranged and irrational, in their acts and statements, and efforts to appeal to their "new" base. Which just further alienates them from the moderates and workers.

Just the president of a major union singing Trump's praises. Remember when democrats claimed to be for the working man and woman?

I personally think the tariffs aren’t as bad as many think. Germany does it and no one bats an eye. They say look at Germany, they protect their workers.

The steelworker made a very good case. You should watch it.
Another steelworker:

Steel Worker Thanks President Donald Trump "It Feels Like He's One of Us" (VIDEO)

I stand with American workers. I stand with Trump.

They will surely remember who put us into the recession that may result from these tariffs.

If the tariffs don't work the unions will probably be the first to blame. "They make too much money!"

Ever since you left wingers started attacking the union members, mocking them as uneducated, deplorable, racists, the whole paradigm shifted.

Saying that "unions won't vote for Trump" is an inane remark. Anyone who's ever been in a union knows that union bosses assume that members vote in lockstep with them.

It doesn't happen.
That's just not true, I worked for two public agencies for a total of 27 years and I would guess that 30% voted Republican, 50% Democratic and 20% didn't vote. You come up with these sweeping generalities that have no basis in fact. Union bosses do not accompany members to the polling place and watch how they vote.
