Steel isn't going away. There is simply no reason it shouldn't be made in the US, unless you prefer Chinese workers over US workers.

While you quoted my remarks, I do not think you understood them.

Default Tariffs will COST 30,000 Construction Jobs

This is only ONE example of the tens of thousands of jobs which will be lost ALL BECAUSE Trump wanted to get the porn star payoff off the front page:

Quote:
The nation’s largest trade group for the construction industry says nearly 30,000 jobs could be lost in the building trades from the steel and aluminum tariffs President Donald Trump is imposing.
Associated General Contractors of America says rising steel and aluminum prices will make some construction projects unaffordable and, as a result, thousands of jobs tied to those projects will be jeopardized.

"These new tariffs will cause significant harm to the nation's construction industry, put tens of thousands of high-paying construction jobs at risk, undermine the president's proposed infrastructure initiative, and potentially dampen demand for new construction projects for years to come,” Stephen Sandherr, AGC’s chief executive officer, said in a statement.

We're not talking about McJobs, here.

You haven't a clue on the history of steel.

Here, educate yourself:

Exactly. And, today's jobs will be a fraction of what had previously existed because of automation and technology. See above video.

This is yet another adolescent knee-jerk ill-considered HARMFUL policy with unintended negative consequences to millions in order to win applause at his next rally - and get the porn star scandal off the front pages.

Union Presidents in Europe got a wake up call in the 80’s when memberships were not paid out of pay checks but voluntary contributions.

That cost them a lot of members. The government also implemented that strikes during business hours no longer would be an automatic pay day if the person wasn’t working.

That ended the weekly strikes as it is nice to go on strike while getting paid but not so much if you don’t get your pay check.

As long as Soros and unions pay union members on strike, the unions will have some power but without that part, unions loose their power.

Sorry, but steel is not coming back to the US. How are any companies coming back when they can produce their products overseas for much cheaper

No he's actually not. If he was, that big beautiful tax plan would have had tax cuts for corporations tied to increased wages for US workers, harsh penalties for offshoring and incentives for hiring US workers. It was nothing but a big wet kiss to corporations and most of the savings will end up being used for stock buybacks.
